@CS11__ I think the phone call scene you posted with Batista and Angela showed how Batista had his suspicions of Dexter once he dug into Marias death with the homemade case file shown at the end of the scene. That and the fact that when she says Dexter is alive hes not excited but uneasy

Dexter New Blood Episode Ten “Sins Of The Father” “Let me Die, so my son can live” In many ways, i feel strongly saying that this finale is some of the strongest work of New Blood in it’s entirety. I have glaring issues with it, but ultimately, i think i loved this? Just like S7E12: “Surprise, Motherf**ker!” Dexter is arrested and unlike that episode, he doesn’t have an angle to get out. He’s in custody with all the evidence against him and he has no way out. That was immediately such an interesting dynamic to play with. This character has been steps ahead for 8 seasons and this time we get an entire episode where he’s beaten. From lying to giving pieces of the real story to ultimately giving Angela the one thing she’s spent her entire career working towards. That progression of Dexter scratching for the upper hand is some of my favourite character work for him. The visual of him in cuffs, in a prison cell, mugshot and all. It’s fantastic. There’s a specific scene with Debra in the cell that is just brilliant. I have nothing but good things to say about all of this, until he kills Logan. He’s desperate and lost and it sets up his final intention with Harrison but it just felt wrong to me. I had a lot of enjoyment with Angela in New Blood but they lost me in these finale 2 episodes. She isn’t bad whatsoever, she isn’t wrong to take down Dexter. I expected and enjoyed her being the one to make that arrest. But it just so empty. You literally could’ve inserted any Cop into this situation and it wouldn’t change anything. It doesn’t feel like there’s a relationship between them, she has zero conflict with her Boyfriend being a Serial Killer. I felt like the entire intrigue in Dexter’s girlfriend being a Cop was this exact situation right here and they really left so much drama and potential on the table IMO. The investigation itself falls into her lap way too easily, but i could’ve gotten over that if they capitalised on the other side of things, that’s where my only real issue lies. There’s also the Batista involvement which is effortlessly great, although again i just wanted more relationship drama, he seemed to accept Dexter was actually a Serial Killer rather than questioning how his great friend could ever do this. I fully expect him in Resurrection so hopefully there’s a better execution there. I guess it’s controversial but i love that final scene with Harrison so much. Killing his Father to save him from the punishment coming his way. The trials and public execution. It’s a mercy kill. It’s the only way out for the both of them. The line “Open your eyes and look at what you’ve done” being the exact same thing Dexter says to his victims as they flash all the friends and family who have been killed because of Dexter. It’s poetic stuff. I think it’s beautiful. And then there’s that final scene. Harrison driving away with Dexter reading his letter. God it’s so fucking good i don’t care what anyone says. If this was the true end to Dexter story i genuinely don’t know many ways it could’ve been better than this.

If Coach Scheyer wants his 1st title, roster retention will be key for Duke. There’s no better way to push that forward than having back a senior Caleb Foster which would add stability, leadership, and continuity to the core. No one Duke needs more.
