A shocking and disgusting discovery. Special thanks to @sekhsoyebali for finding this and informing me. Yesterday, I received a message from him telling me that one of my free templates was being resold on Etsy and a website called Alpha Design Global. This piracy brand is also taking other free templates published on Framer and illegally reselling them for profit. I was able to recognize free templates from @AndreaMontini being stolen and resold as well. I also saw several familiar template designs, but I don’t know who the original creators are. Please help spread awareness among creators. Check whether your free templates are being illegally resold and report them to the platforms — especially Lemon Squeezy and Gumroad — to protect your rights. @elonmusk Shallow empathy always spotlights the immediate sob story while erasing the unseen victims down the line. Real compassion demands weighing both.

Beware the empathy exploit. Empathy is good and right when thought through (deep), but can be deadly to civilization when simply stimulus-response (shallow). For example, releasing a repeat violent offender may feel good at first (shallow empathy for the criminal), but it is wrong to do so when that person will go on to hurt or murder innocent victims, as there should be deep empathy for future victims.
