Queenstown mayor met up with Ethiopians to strengthen bilateral ties economically. Ethiopians deal in Spaza shops and other small businesses. We can’t buy local because local entrepreneurs are locked out.
South African Government@GovernmentZA

Buying local means 🛒 Keeping jobs in SA 🛒 Protecting against global disruptions 🛒 Fostering long-term growth Let's contribute, buy locally made goods and services. Every purchase counts. #Localisation #EconomicRecovery #BuyLocalSA

Point of Order, Honourable Madam Speaker @ParliamentofRSA @MolotoMothapo @MmusiMaimane Honourable Speaker, it appears that some Members of Parliament have ridiculed citizens who call for the enforcement of the Immigration Act 13 of 2002, which provides for the deportation of illegal immigrants and tighter border controls. This law was passed by the very institution in which they now serve and from which they draw their salaries. The proper way for a Parliamentarian to oppose the enforcement of a law is to propose its repeal, and vote on it, not to stand on a podium and ridicule public demands. Democracy is not only about making laws; it is also about respecting and enforcing them until they are legitimately changed. When Parliamentarians ridicule citizens for demanding the enforcement of an existing law, they undermine both the authority of Parliament and the trust of the people. Such conduct shows disregard for public concerns and weakens the institution they represent. The public is not asking for new legislation, only for the enforcement of an Act already in place. The Immigration Act 13 of 2002. To mock the demand of the citizens is to mock Parliament itself. If a Member of Parliament disagrees with the Immigration Act, the correct path is repeal through constitutional channels. Thank you, Madam Speaker.

What stands out to me when West Africans use HIV as an insult against South Africans, is the level of health illiteracy that allows a medical condition to be weaponised as an insult. This is a reminder that Africa's biggest development gaps are not only economic but medical. 🙇🏾‍♀️

@_BellaM_ You mean the dream even Black South Africans dream too. Black South Africans are slaves to people who control those places. Black South Africans 80% control just 18 percent of the resources. Whites 13 percent control 80%. Thats slavery. You just don’t want to admit.
