Quite honestly, I'm stacking up some real basics that are completely over-looked luxuries/necessities: Anything in plastic that you take for granted. Shampoo. Soap. Toothpaste. Toothbrushes. Washing-up liquid. Detergent. Bleach. Dettol. Screw the toilet-paper... (Go Asian.) 🕊

Rapid increase in BA.3.2 in NYC is driven entirely by infections in children, mainly ages 2-17. Green bar shows how often each age group appears in BA.3.2 vs non-BA.3.2. Ratio of 1 means they appear at equal rates, while 5 means that age appears 5x more often in BA.3.2 1/3

A dramatic uptick in BA.3* coronavirus strain share in NYC is almost completely due to infections in children, too! 3/4 of the newest NYC BA.3+ samples are from children, compared to only 1/4 of non-BA.3 strains.

What I find strange (but not) is that the WHO's term for the disease has now media-morphed from 'COVID-19' to the lower-cased 'Covid'. It diminishes a vicious virus. It makes it sound like a bootless, slightly odd neighbour with a stupid name. Do people catch 'Hiv'? #WeeSARS2
