It shows that immigrants households ( use welfare at much higher rates than US citizens, which is clearly in opposition to the false report by Cato. The Cato report was debunked by Ann Coulter herself, by the Center of Immigration Studies, The Manhattan Institute, the Federation for American Immigration Reform, etc.. They didn't include immigrant households in their data, and the argument is this: The current Legal immigration system--Family reunification, diversity visas, and refugee/asylee categories bring in too many older or less-educated people, creating long-term drains (welfare, education, healthcare, retirement benefits). A skills-based system would flip this to surplus, but this country refuses to do that.

You don't even know what Birth Tourism is--as his parents were legal US Residents (Who later became US citizens the proper way) but nevertheless, I would gladly jettison him, or anybody else born into a similar situation to get this deliberately misused law in order. This is quite different from people who travel to the US when 9-months pregnant in order to make sure their kid is a "US Citizen" which then anchors the whole family here. Adult immigrants have no childhood costs so they only show contributions. Also their children do not count against their 'contributions' because they are US citizens.
