I’ve been studying a lot lately. I’ve been stacking Master Gardener volunteer experience, turfgrass management training, certified horticulturist credentials, GI-BMP training/instructor work, and VERY hands on experience from running my own garden business as I try to become some kind of plant educator guy. I’m looking for more opportunities to learn/teach/deepen my knowledge of horticulture so I can help people better understand plants and practices. And frankly, would just like my own HGTV show if any of you knows anybody who could make that happen.

Every morning with my coffee and red light, I enjoy a smoothie comprised of frozen blueberries (an old friend invited me in once and made me a bowl of mixed berries, and that started a whole thing for me about men eating berries), peanut butter (I used to have a personal trainer who tracked my calories and texted me shocked after I logged 7 spoonfuls of peanut butter, which hurt my feelings), Huel powder (I was vegan for 12 years and stopped when I moved back home to Florida because the behaviors I used to exert control in my life had started to isolate me, and all I wanted was to fit in and make friends), and banana (yay banana).

Like twice a year nikeps5 runs through the timeline like a rat in a nail salon, causing uproar while revealing some inconvenient truth about the world, and then everyone looks around and laughs because they’ve all joined hands to defeat this evil. He’s brought us all together once again, that rascal. See you in the fall, nikeps5. We’ll be waiting!

I’ve been out of the gym and barely working for the last few weeks trying to heal a back/hip injury and even though my body looks rough, all the resting and the tiny bit of extra weight I’m holding have me lookin damn near cherubic in my little face.

I really need to be tarlymaxxing.. supporting the boys, raising some girl’s kid, using my wits to survive unthinkable calamity, writing the story of my people so well HBO adapts it.

If I’m ever joking about or being critical of different looksmaxxing/weight management stuff, it doesn’t mean I’m automatically against it. I’m usually just shit testing the idea out loud, seeing how people react, or working through my own gut response. I’m processing because I’m interested.

I thought my brain was turning to mush being in a retirement community and not engaging my peers on complex social problems but then I kinda realized that talking to the old is much like talking to the young: you have to learn how to make complex topics really simple. And to do that, you have to be super versed in whatever the thing is. I’ve gotten much sharper by getting much simpler.

@TwinkTheory I wanted to say this was a third thing, like an object obsession thing, but now I think you’re right, it was the extreme maleness that I found intoxicating/wanted to embody.
