He was simply out of step and out of touch with the vast majority of Ohioans and he lost by 6pts in an otherwise friendlier electorate down ballot for Democrats that year. More things change, the more they stay the same.

Let me explain "reverse realignment" in terms all on X can understand, using people in no attempt to dig, just to better illustrate it. MAGA picked up @AlanDersh, who came out as Republican solely over Israel. No other views align him with the right, carving out a political position held by a small minority in the Boomer (I) & Silent Gens. Meanwhile, MAGA lost @joerogan & @TuckerCarlson, more populist voices who clearly represent views more predominantly held by Gen X, Millennials and Gen Z. That is a NET LOSS for the coalition. The math is simple. Which bloc is larger? Which bloc holds the key to winning elections in the future?

Then comes the peak delusion: Labour will “never be forgiven” if he walks away, and it would mean “plunging our country into chaos.” What on earth are you talking about?! This happened during the Cubs vs Rangers game. A grounder to first and the first baseman throws home to get the out at home plate. Catcher applies the tag, the runner is called safe. Replay clearly shows the runner is out. The Cubs challenge the call and are confident it is going to be overturned. After replay, the runner is called safe! 🤯 How can the replay booth who has every angle in the book at their disposal (not that you needed more than one) botch this call after the umpire just botched it? Do people lose their jobs over this? Have you seen a more terrible call ever in the replay challenge era?
