Two days of panels and back-to-back meetings can take it out of you. So we made sure there was somewhere to unwind. The massage corner turned out to be a real favourite at DBW26. A few minutes to loosen the shoulders and reset, then back into the action, feeling a little lighter. Plenty of smiles behind the massage chairs as well. Time to unwind this weekend too. June was a month full of events for Blockrise. Blockrise CEO @jos_lazet spoke at international events such as @BtcCorpDay Day and @BTCPrague and joined multiple panels at @DutchBlockWeek. Alongside that, the team attended to connect and network within the Bitcoin industry. What stood out most was that the questions are getting sharper: less about what Bitcoin is, more about how it fits within regulation and how Bitcoin-backed lending works in practice. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, joined the discussion, or had a chat at the stand. Looking forward to the next round of events, after the summer.

@DutchBlockWeek wrapped up a couple of weeks ago, and I already know I'll be back next year. On the business side, the amount of open-minded, executive-level people in one place was honestly outstanding, and getting to the right person took barely any effort at all. The organisation surprised me too. Proper networking area, side events, and somehow the venue stayed comfortable even when Amsterdam decided to turn into a sauna mid-week. Whoever thought of putting a massage corner there deserves a raise, it saved more than a few of us. Thank you all, and see you again soon!!!!

At @DutchBlockWeek, our Director of Global Affairs @jg13nn joined a panel on national blockchain adoption with Juan Carlos Reyes (President, El Salvador's National Digital Assets Commission) and Michal Ptáčník (legal counsel, Liberland). The conversation ran deep, into understanding El Salvador's positioning and mindset behind making #Bitcoin legal tender to how a micronation runs governance on-chain. Having a vantage point from BGA programmes and engagements with global governments and UN agencies on #blockchain impact, Glenn discussed on the realities of the industry: ➡️ A wallet given to citizens is not inclusion; it's access, but that's a major start where El Salvador did well. The unbanked lack trust, identity, and infrastructure, not an app. ➡️ Differentiating real national blockchain adoption from a simple press release boils down to whether such adoption survives a change of government regime, if there is infrastructure underneath, and who actually benefits. It was an open and honest conversation about where the reality actually stands and the direct perspectives from a country. Our thanks to the DBW team for organising this and having us part of it.
