The Netherlands is concerned by the decision of the Supreme Court of Belarus to label the European Humanities University in Vilnius as an “extremist organisation”. This undermines academic freedom, and attempts to silence independent education, harming students and Lithuania.

Today in Middelburg it was my privilege to join Elizabeth Roosevelt Johnston (the great-granddaughter of President Franklin D. Roosevelt) in presenting the International Four Freedoms Award to President @ZelenskyyUa of Ukraine. He accepted the award on behalf of the Ukrainian people as a ‘recognition of the courageous fight for our freedom and democracy under exceptionally difficult circumstances’.

Whilst Dutch students often head to Europe, Miami is the obvious choice for students from the Caribbean parts of our Kingdom. @ministerBHOS met with a number of them at the Pérez Art Museum Miami, and talked about their ambitions, their choices and their plans for the future.

The Netherlands signed a Letter of Understanding with Pennsylvania, setting out our intention to continue working together on trade and collaboration in key sectors such as agriculture, hightech and Life Sciences & Health. ⬇️
