@DvBrk @ericmmatheny Wrong, simply wrong. Most “homeless”, though agreed not all, are there by effective choice, choice they may not think they make, but that is what it is. Exceptions are the truly mentally ill who are incapable of rational thought.

Being poor is not a crime. Using drugs in public; treating a sidewalk as a toilet; harassing and assaulting bypassers; destroying the quality of life for law-abiding taxpayers is. Homelessness is a social blight. Not a humanitarian crisis.
