@Riley_Gaines_ The it’s narcism but that was evidently prevelant for many years and should not be taken as a surprise

Why? Seriously, I cannot understand why he'd post this. Is he looking for a response? Does he actually think this?
Either way, two things are true.
1) a little humility would serve him well
2) God shall not be mocked

There is no human experience that God does not redeem. When lived in union with the passion of the Lord, even suffering can become a path to holiness. The grace that converts and transforms life strengthens us in every trial. It does not point us towards a distant ideal, but towards the encounter with God, who became man out of love. #GeneralAudience #LumenGentium

The Pentagon summoned the Pope's ambassador, told him the United States has the military power to do "whatever it wants," and warned that the Church better take its side.
They even invoked the Avignon Papacy, a dark chapter in history when a government used military force to bend the Church to its will.
So where exactly does this end? If the Pope refuses to fall in line, what's the next move, bomb the Vatican?

@joe2bear1985 @ShaneClaiborne Well that’s my point. I’m not sure God appoints evil people to rule, humanity voted them in or the votes are skewed by humanity to vote them in and that’s free will so maybe it’s nots Gods will but he allows it due to free will
English

@DwarfCatTinyLeg @ShaneClaiborne Romans 13:1-7
They had the same issue in Rome. They didn't want to submit to an evil ruler. But evil rulers put out punishment, such as Hitler.
Biden was indeed an evil ruler, we all suffered under him (lockdowns).
Would you agree that he was an evil or bad ruler?
English

@joe2bear1985 @ShaneClaiborne I’m not sure how true it is that he put him in power. God allowed for free will. That incudes people voting for who they want. Hitler was also in power a long time. did God put him there? I’m ooen to it but I’m not sure. We know humanity did that’s for sure.
English

@ShaneClaiborne Ok, this isn't biblical either. No Christian follow Trump, like following Christ. False equivalency.
It actually states God puts good and evil kings into power. And Jesus says render what is Caesar to Caesar and to God to God. Remember God put Trump into power

Christ is risen from the dead, and with him, we too rise to new life! This Easter proclamation embraces the mystery of our lives and the destiny of history, reaching us even in the depths of death. #Easter

Guys, I’m an idiot. All this time I’ve spent trying not to die, I had toxic turf in my backyard. Artificial turf contains crumb rubber infill made from recycled tires, which leaches chemicals including PFAS, heavy metals, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. These compounds are linked to hormone disruption, carcinogenicity, and systemic inflammation.
I don’t know how I missed it. It makes me question my basic competence in life.
What gets me is that I try so hard to survey the world of potential idiocy. Then I find out there’s a monument to idiocy sitting right in front of my face that I was blind to.
I’m removing the turf, yet I’m still stuck with this seemingly unsolvable problem of how to not be an idiot.

MESSAGE
I wholeheartedly endorse the powerful appeal for peace made by the Holy Father, Pope Leo, during his Palm Sunday Mass. His call for the laying down of arms and the renunciation of violence resonated profoundly with me, as it speaks to the very essence of what all major religions teach.
Indeed, whether we look to Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism or any of the world's great spiritual traditions, the message is fundamentally the same: love, compassion, tolerance, and self-discipline. Violence finds no true home in any of these teachings. History has shown us time and again that violence only begets more violence and is never a lasting foundation for peace.
An enduring resolution to conflict, including the ones we see in the Middle East or between Russia and Ukraine, must be rooted in dialogue, diplomacy and mutual respect — approached with the understanding that, at the deepest level, we are all brothers and sisters.
I urge for and pray that the violence and conflicts may soon come to an end.
