@KnoxKiffinQB That must have been a great game. I'm sure you have many more in your future with a lot more "W's" than "L's." I'm sure your dad and your grandfather are very proud of you!

Lane, I am an 80-year-old preacher who was a Tennessee football fan for about 50 years. I was a Phil Fulmer fan, but I knew it was time for a change when Mike Hamilton asked him to step down. He hired a young, brash, mouthy coach who brought magic to Knoxville. You first impressed me at the spring game when you stood right behind the quarterback, giving him directions. What a year that was! Then you left. Unlike most Tennessee fans, I understood that an offer had come out of the blue, allowing you to do what you had always hoped you would be able to do someday. Tennessee fans hated you so much because they loved you so much. I decided not to let your moving stop me from enjoying the magic. I became a Lane Kiffin fan for life. One of the things I enjoyed while you were at Tennessee was getting to know about your dad. What a great personality he had! I had a great dad too, and I feel your pain. I miss him so much! You are making a big decision today. I want to make a suggestion for getting more NIL money at Ole Miss.

@sethmoulton I just watched you on CNN suggest that Israel needs to have a strategy to win over the Gaza populace. We learned that in Iraq. That is an apples-and-oranges comparison. The history of Israel and Palestinians is grounded in the desire to eliminate Israel altogether.

@mlbbowman I wonder, if Atlanta made the decision to stop having pitchers cover first base, would the health of the pitchers be worth a player on first once in a while. Pitchers are like race horses -- you can't have them plowing the field. Let them do what they do best!

@CoachBiagi I have seen kudos being given out for the players on special teams, but I have not seen anyone mention your name. Maybe I missed someone giving you credit for being a key part of the team's success. If I did, please consider me added to your supporters. if not, I do!

@RebsToday I hated that you left, but I have said many times that Tennessee fans hated you so much because they loved you so much. You only gave us one year, but it was a magical year and had our hopes sky-high. I am still a UT fan, but I am also a Lane Kiffin fan!

@ClowESPN @OleMissFB When Tennessee was looking for a coach and Lane was at Florida Atlantic, I was beating the drum to "Bring Lane Back." You and I texted back and forth. Many fans angrily told me Lane Kiffin was not a good coach. Where would the Vols be if they had hired Lane then?

The offensive/defensive balance for @OleMissFB has been impressive. Rebels tied for 9th nationally with 33 plays from scrimmage of 20+ yards and tied for 5th nationally with only 11 plays of 20+ yards allowed. Alabama is only other team in top 10 on offense and top 5 on defense.

@LateKickJosh Has Josh Pate ever taken back his 6-6 prediction for Ole Miss? He did not factor in Lane Kiffin sufficiently and ignored the games our remaining opponents will face prior to facing us. Injuries are always a problem. Tough games before Ole Miss could cause trouble!

Jaxson Dart deserves a ton of credit - dealt with bad snaps all afternoon Saturday and kept the offense upright

Kentucky's fumble at the end was not a lucky break. It was great defense! The Ole Miss defense let UK get close, but corrected that mistake with the play of the game. The defense is as much fun to watch as the offense!

With 6:22 to go in the third quarter Saturday, Kentucky tied the game. The Ole Miss defense held UK scoreless the rest of the game including the play of the game -- knocking the ball loose and recovering it as UK threatened to win at the end.

An ability to kick 50-yard field goals is one of the brightest parts of the Ole Miss offense this year. It was the difference Saturday and may be the difference in more than one game this year.

Watching the replays of the Ole Miss-Kentucky game, I think we need to mention Jackson Dart's calm handling of snaps from our substitute center. Many came to him inches off the ground. He picked them up like a shortstop fielding a grounder while not losing track of the play!

The experts were predicting that Kentucky would go into Oxford and show Ole Miss what happens when you play a real team. Now we know, and they know. We snatched victory from the jaws of defeat at the last second. What's next? Vanderbilt on the road.

As tough as it was to watch, the second half of the Tulsa game may have been just what the team needed to prepare for Kentucky and the SEC. When we're good, we're very good. When we beat Georgia Tech 42-0, we might get overconfident. Probably not this week!

Tulsa was more of a challenge than I had anticipated. It felt like the Georgia Tech game had the players taking Tulsa lightly. That is always dangerous. Ask Texas A&M. We don't have to worry about that Saturday!

I love watching the Ole Miss players on the sidelines. Someone in the media said, "They seem to be having fun!" as if they were surprised. Playing your best and winning is fun! Kiffin's players seem to do that!

Last week Georgia Tech was going to be the biggest test for the Ole Miss football team. Now I'm hearing that Ole Miss hasn't played anyone yet but Tulsa will be our biggest test. I have a feeling the team will be ready!

For a team with lots of changes, Ole Miss may have the perfect schedule for the SEC West. Early games are helping the team get ready for the tough games ahead. Don't overlook the tough games opponents will have played before playing the Rebels.

Lane Kiffin's critics twist the past and discount what is happening at Ole Miss. This is an exciting team to watch and may surprise a lot of people this year.
