@RainesMatt Man for man, they are a distinctly 'average' team. They are superbly drilled and ruthlessly organised though, that's their power.

It’s pretty scary how much better France is than everyone else. #FIFAWorldCup

@themastermime2 Did I suggest that also wasn't a red? You think I'm defending the French? 😄 Refs clearly have instructions to allow 'star' names to escape punishment in order to make sure they're available for every game. That's what we saw with Yamal, and have seen with Messi multiple times.

That's as clear a red card as you'll ever see. Yamal should be off and out of the final. Certain players, Yamal, Messi being the leading two, could literally snap an opponents leg in half and VAR wouldn't even glance at it. The refereeing of this tournament is deeply corrupt.

@DylanBaker1986 Completely overlooked Spain. What a performance. Best of luck tomorrow, I’ll be sweating it as well. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

@DavidFurones_ The US is certainly a fantastic host, and should host it regularly. By regularly, that means, once every 4 tournaments, so every 16 years.

FIFA should just have America host every World Cup. Where else in the world do you have this many elite stadiums in cities capable of handling such an influx of foreign visitors? And it lines up with the American football offseason for easy conversion to soccer for the venues.

@HACKETTREF You aren't a serious person. It's a stone wall penalty, always has been, and will be again almost certainly next match when Messi gets bundled from behind exactly like this.

I admire aspects of British culture and politics as much as anyone, but one thing I’ve never understood is this “it’s coming home” nonsense that erupts every four years. England has won the World Cup ONCE—60 years ago. It’s absurd to think of England as the trophy’s “home.”

@HLTCO So here's what you do. Don't rise to it, don't take the bait. Celebrate us reaching a semi final instead. Don't give scum click bait media the oxygen.

@alfiehaaland England had a stone wall penalty incorrectly overturned. Norway had a goal correctly overturned. That's about the extent of it.

Gabriel Clarke’s two interviews with Thomas Tuchel and Jude Bellingham were dreadful. Tuchel was very clear in his praise for England’s strength of character but he wasn’t happy with the performance. Clarke failed to understand Tuchel’s mentality comments. He then gave a misleading follow up to Bellingham which suggested to Bellingham that Tuchel was unhappy with the team. Unnecessarily disruptive and the wrong context of interviewing in two separate interviews. #EngvNor

Jude Bellingham is already one of the greatest of all time. Absolute gent on and off the pitch, utter superstar. Just astonishing to see a player grab a tournament by the scruff like this. Wonderful.
