Modern Christian fathers are caught between two contradictory lies. The first lie: You must cherish every single moment of parenting or you're failing. Every tantrum, every sleepless night, every repetitive game of pretend. if you're not beaming with joy, you're a bad father. The second lie: Pursuing your God-given purpose is selfish. Building something meaningful, doing work that matters, having ambitions beyond the home, is abandoning your family. Both are poison. Biblical fatherhood was never about constant entertainment & emotional availability. It was about providing, protecting & modeling purposeful work. Fathers worked. They built. They created. They took responsibility. And their children watched them do it. Your perpetual presence is not required at every single moment. Show them what it looks like to be a man who works with purpose, who builds something lasting, who takes dominion seriously. Yes, that means you will be emotionally available at times, but it is not the totality. We've feminized fatherhood and wondered why boys don't know how to be men.

The X Games is back. I had actually retired this, but enough of you kept asking for it that I’ve brought it back for another run. 1. This is for fun, that's the whole point. It gets people interacting, it helps people meet new mutuals, and it gives everyone something to get involved in for a bit. That’s all it’s meant to be. 2. What you see on your end might look quick and simple, but it isn’t. There’s a fair bit of time and effort that goes into setting this up and running it properly. So this year I’m not breaking my back over it. If a bracket doesn’t fill, it doesn’t run. Simple as that. 3. Also, no complaints about wanting smaller and smaller brackets. I’m not doing it! The second I split one, ten more requests follow and it turns into a mess. If you choose to enter under 500 with 90 followers, then own that decision. If you don’t like it, don’t enter. 4. And for the usual crowd who pop up every year saying this “pits people against each other”, just grow up. It’s a bit of fun, and it has helped plenty of people connect and find new mutuals.
