@DylanGTech @shagbark_hick It's fine for someone trying to start a family. Direct access to Corning and Horseheads even down to Waverly, college town, and yes, crime is up due to one neighborhood now being fully spanish-speaking, but it's not bad. The region is beautiful, there are jobs, housing is cheap.

@Empty_America We live in the wealthiest time. If people aren't having kids with $50,000, they probably won't with $100,000

There IS a very simple way to induce married parents to have 3 or 4 kids instead of 1 or 2, which is all that is required to solve the demographic problem. Large cash payment upon the birth of child #3 and all subsequent children. Only question is how much. This scheme avoids most of the negative side effects of baby payments, and also renders the angst about childless adults irrelevant, let them live as they please and pay their taxes.

@SovereignIM If you want a woman HARDER to lead, you're screwing your kids over much harder. Intelligence was never a factor because no matter how intelligent they are, women are borderline retarded.

I look down on men for this. I’ve debated this topic many times before, and it is probably the most dysgenic thing about my sex “I want a woman who’s easier to lead, so I’ll get a simple one” Men really do be nerfing their kids genetics to be the wizard king of a potato woman.

"Would you marry someone less intelligent than you?" Outright "no": Women: 45% Men: 8% Women are nearly 6x more likely to rule it out entirely. The single largest gender disparity in our deep-question dataset.

NOW - Trump says it's good to have 500,000 foreign Chinese students in the U.S. and for China to purchase U.S. farmland; otherwise, colleges and farm prices would collapse: "I frankly think that it's good that people come from other countries and they learn our culture."

@Sankei_news むしろ逆じゃないかな。

As an American I am genuinely curious: Have modern women always had the reputation of being this intolerable in Japan, or is this a relatively new thing? This is certainly a problem here, but Americans have the perception that Confucian standards kept feminism in check in East Asia.

So we replaced one set of degenerate vices for another set of (slightly less) degenerate vices? I don't want to get wasted, do drugs, destroy stuff, or sleep around, and I didn't want to do that back high school either. Mind you, I did not get a smartphone until I was practically graduating.

Once again: Broke Artists need to PICK A TOWN in the middle of nowhere and flock to it. Preferably a town that is: 1. Actively dying / hopeless 2. Chock full of DIRT CHEAP housing 3. In a high-minimum-wage state 4. Has some kind of public transit Ogdensburg NY comes to mind. As does Herkimer, Tupper Lake, Malone, Binghamton, and Massena NY. Each has some kind of a local bus, some kind of connection to coach bus or Amtrak, low rent, and crazy cheap property. Literally anyone who wants to live a low-rent lifestyle, making art, writing novels, hanging around in warehouses and cafes, etc can show up in one of these towns and make it work. $16/hr minimum wage, houses for as little as $40,000 (Ogdensburg and Massena) or, on the higher end, $100k (Tupper Lake). STOP being fixated on NYC / Philly / MTL. Just make the leap. I'm already up here. I already paved the way. And if you want it even cheaper come to a village like mine, my house was $33,000. There's a cabin down the road from here for $17,000. You do not need to work a job here, period.

Texas pregnancy deaths did NOT suddenly rise 56% because abortion was banned. The statistic they’re throwing around measures year-over-year increases from 2019–2022… and Texas didn’t ban abortion until August 2022. I’ll give you one guess what major event happened between 2019 and 2022 that might’ve impacted pregnancy-related deaths. Hint: it wasn’t the abortion ban.

@lettuce_isgood That's kinda the irony though. Secular statues are a-ok, but the moment they feature a holy man, it's idolatry.

The Trump statue discourse is utterly dishonest and the only reason people care is the superficiality it’s gold leafed. Protestants are generally not against the creation of statues as long as they aren’t used in religious practice or in any way can be considered a proxy.

It's stuff like this that actually makes me somewhat optimistic for the future. The worst is over in terms of safralige and poor catechesis. Even TLM-only traditionalists must admit to this.
