@Inflarrojos @nestapendragon Because we watched this exact conspiracy theory be true with another major card game (Pokemon) recently. Razors aren't meant to be the be-all/end-all of thinking, just guide posts for certain things.

@EisenherzMTG The Pokemon Company did exactly this to an artist not long ago. Sent the artist digital assets, told them to use them, forced the issue and then tried to pin the artist for plagiarism when the community noticed

@jen_tcg Tbh part of why I stopped playing RT in TCG. Deck relies on mandate negates, but if your opponent has any quick effects, traps, or can destroy Mandate in response, you just lose most of your interruption. The moment people learned this, the deck became 2nd engine reliant.

@jimmysoldout Because your rent money is gone, money you invest into a home is an asset you can leverage for loans, to resell when you have to move or the market seems favorable. Not to mention having control to paint, renovate, get pets, upgrade without fearing you'll lose that time and money

@MissesDread Seeing now that many initially closed due to racism, but I'm sure after that initial wave many also closed bc maintaining those spaces with safety and health in mind was impossible.

@MissesDread There is one near where I live. Everyday it oscillates between being slam packed with out of control weirdos, and closed bc the weirdos pooped in the pool, threw up in the pool, started a fight at the pool or dropped a needle in the pool.

Speaking of inaccessibility, I will forever argue that Masters TCG being denied a lunch break is a serious disability issue. “Just have snacks in between rounds” is not a good argument. We deserve a water & food break. Period!

@Kramaramb -but once you factor in that they are finding booster bundles, sleeved packs, collector boxes, etc. also, and actually "working" way less than 40 hours per week for that, it probably comes out much higher. I've had guys tell me they make over $1000 a week doing it.

@Kramaramb Let's say one guy manages to get 10 etb's a week doing this. Most recent etb's have a market at least $70 above retail. If they sell for full markup somewhere, that's $700 a week after product cost. Subtract maybe 1 tank of gas at $50 and that's $650. That's $16 an hour-

Hey everyone. Just a bit of an update.
For those that have kept up with my streams and discord the past few months, my mental health has been absolutely cratered. I’ve had an extremely unhealthy relationship with work and have basically been working 60-70 hours a week.

@h0leopard Got told I couldn't be NB bc I prefer shorts to skirts and don't wear make up often. Got told that "NB Bi's" get too much rep at Pride and was denied a free pride bracelet. As soon as I came out, all of my trans/gay friends started making plans for "AFAB's only" to leave me out.

I’ve seen some people disagree with what i’m saying about this card and, i’ll be more clear. This card is fucking awesome. It, in its design, does what I want cards for this purpose to do.

A foundational belief that informs all of my opinions on Yugioh’s design at this point is “cards that disproportionately benefit the player going second are always a net positive.” This card is clearly meant to bolster a style of deck that uses breakers rather than handtraps.

Imagine if our card game had Pokémon money. Or League of Legends money. Too bad Hasbro is a small independent start up and can't spend resources to test its new cards for magic.

Pokemon TCG testing as a full-time 9-5 job? that's possible at Creatures Inc, in the office filled with nothing but tables, chairs, and drawers of Pokemon cards 19 playtesters play TCG seven hours a day, five days a week to test new cards before release their entire job is to test Pokemon cards and report back to the designers

@JoshBoostersTCG I Manage an LGS and the rules-sharkiness and angle shooting is in fact much higher in games where the prizing is either money directly or is worth a lot of money. I had people sharking kids in Lorcana over playmats and pins bc some of them were sellable. Miserable behavior.
