George Orwell died in 1950 and he hasn't witnessed all the socialist revolutionaries eventually turned tyrannical. Democratic socialism like seeking to abolish capitalism, private properties/means of production, and income inequality, cannot be achieved without resorting to authoritarian methods, eventually it'll be undemocratic or not achieving it and willing to accept being voted out of office. If George Orwell survives through the 20th century and into 21th century, he'll more likely to be a social democrat
