@Pete_r_Knox @lpelfpaw Now you're making me want to read it just to see how bad it could be.

@chiggins1966 I’ve reviewed from the perspective of Wyatt Earp

@DylanRevisited Gonna need that review of Tarantula on my desk by tomorrow morning.
English

@lpelfpaw Ha ha - I will read Tarantula at some point though. He put years into it, it's the least I can do.
English

@ArsenioOrteza I’ve heard that. Probably why I keep putting off reading it.
English

@DylanRevisited And you'll never read 'Tarantula' all the way because once you start you won't want to finish.

@batcountry1980 @LtGenScott If management want their staff to earn more money maybe they should pay them more

Americans are mad for tips. It’s nowhere near as bad as that over here. You don’t tip in pubs, for instance. And I can’t imagine seeing a sign like that anywhere. For one, the owners aren’t that daft. If everyone decides after seeing that sign they aren’t going in there then the company gets nothing, which is the point you’re making. But also, in these trying times, there’s people that want to go out and celebrate a family birthday but are skint, so will look at the menu, total it up, and decide if they can go somewhere. That 25% might mean they can’t afford it. These people might work all week on minimum wage, scraping to get by more than the staff in the restaurant, and now can’t afford to eat in there because of tipping? That’s not on.

This just drives business away.
Like if I walk into a pizza shop carrying my own iced tea.
The guy at the counter says no outside beverages.
I say, "Fine. I'll get something to eat somewhere else."
The monumental stupidity of turning away $5 because you wanted $8.
Same thing with not allowing adults to order off the kiddie menu. For me, it's not about the price. It's about the portion & calories. Kiddie meals are great for me. But some places won't let you do that.
I was in one such place - WITH A GROUP. Waitress takes the order. Gets to me. I try to order off the kids' menu. She says no. I say, "Then skip me. I'll have nothing."
I can't believe that there are places that would refuse money in the hand over a really stupid principle. And they're also turning down *future* money from me.
No wonder so many restaurants fail.

Would you still go in and eat here? 🤔🤔

@Griffin6236 When I was listening to all the Tour 74 concerts, the one song I never got tired of hearing was It's Alright Ma. And by his consistently great performances, I'd say neither did Bob.

@DylanRevisited Darkness at the break of noon
Shadows even the silver spoon
The hand made blade, the child's balloon
Eclipses both the sun and moon
To understand you know too soon
There is no sense in trying
