Will clients ever realize the “cheaper option” is cheaper for a reason and almost always ends up being the most expensive — it almost always has to be redone.

I've upgraded 8 websites from EE2/EE3 to EE4 since the decision to make @eecms free (and shortly to be open source!) Many of these are low traffic websites that just couldn't justify the licensing cost to upgrade but are now benefiting from the latest software! Thanks @EllisLab.

@dionnu Great. What addons are you using? I haven’t really managed to get many EE2 sites working on anything past PHP5.6 unless they don’t have much going on.

@DynamicDesignUK Thank you. Most likely, I managed to do an upgrade locally. Now going to try to migrate it back to the live site.

#EEcms How do I run an update wizard for an 1.6.8 site to do an upgrade to a 2.11.9 site on a PHP7 server? At the moment I get a blank screen when starting the upgrade process. Can’t switch back to PHP5 so have to find a workaround …

Very excited by the news from @EllisLab to make #eecms free and open source! A big shift forward, but something with loads of potential for the future. Can't wait to update my clients with what it means for them! Thank you!
