@TheIshikawaRin I couldn’t care any less about the modern day part of this, or any other, AC game. In fact, I think the modern day story line ruins the games. I don’t want to play as a guy in a simulation. I want to play as an Egyptian assassin, or a Greek hero, or a pirate.

After replaying Assassin's Creed 4 for about 6 hours so far I think it would be absolutely moronic to remove the modern day sections from this game in the remake.
This game serves as an epilogue to the series' main story and gives great insight into what happened after AC3
