As many as 93 percent of the children in the juvenile legal system have prior experience with high levels of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)—things like physical, sexual, and verbal abuse, family and street violence. 1/

While progress has been made, there is still more to be done to ensure our legal system treats kids as kids. @CalStateLACJ's Denise Herz, @EAJProject's @LaelChester, and @OJJDPLizRyan lead our next discussion on how prosecutors can better meet the needs of kids and young adults.
