@AutoInfatuation @eBay_UK I bought a watch a few years ago. £3k. Seller sent me a box with screws in it. Took it up with eBay and PayPal back then. They backed the seller, shut down my PayPal and eBay accounts. Got proof from the police the seller was dodgy. They took no notice

I’ve had my @eBay_UK account since 2012, 100% positive feedback. Always an honest buyer and seller for all sorts of things over the years. Put a PC component up for sale the other day and a guy offers me my minimum within 3hrs, I agree to sell it and post it the same day as he seemed desperate. I was crystal clear in my description that it was missing one of the original USB-C to USB-A cables as I lost it when I moved house and that a normal cable does the exact same job. Guy messages me demanding I either partially refund him for the ‘Missing’ cable or ‘I can have it back’ once delivered. I suggest he takes it up with eBay as he clearly didn’t read the advert. As you can see below he’s playing the buyer protection system and trying to extort money from me basically. He then puts in a return request for a reason that is completely null and void. I ring eBay and they suggest I accept the return request despite me not being in the wrong, I tell them I will not pander to people like that who are playing the system and would sooner not use their platform anymore. Now my account is under review and all payouts have been put on hold for at least 5 working days 😡 So fuck you @eBay_UK and your ridiculous system that always sides with the buyer regardless of what they say or how blatantly they abuse the system.

It doesn't always side with the buyer, the other day a guy shipped me an empty box, and relisted the item again, I paid for buyer protection, claimed, assuming it would be obvious fraud as he relisted. They tried to make me fill in a police crime report, which I had no intention of doing when I'd paid for cover. No refund. Just closed the case. Was better when paypal were involved, but Google and Apple pay don't give same cover. Ebay is no longer my go to site for items.

@eBay_UK who can I contact when a seller had a dispute raised, fixed the issue and dispute closed, then revoked access which shows it’s a scam. Unable to re-open a case which I suspect they have done to a lot of people. User: technoset0

@eBay_UK I bought an item off an individual. The seller was using eBay delivery and the postage was duly paid. However for speed the seller and I agreed to use a faster Royal Mail service which generated a different tracking number to eBay’s. The item arrived quickly and the seller now needs to have the funds (inc postage) released to him. Where on the eBay site can I inform you of the item being received by me?

@eBay_UK my account got evaluated as below standard - on the same day it happened my account level is above standard if evaluated today. I made a mistake with some stock & had to cancel a few orders & i've been penalised for this. Is there anything that can be done?
