From the murders at Bondi Beach and a synagogue in Manchester to recent shootings at synagogues in Toronto, violent antisemitic attacks have surged across the globe since 10/7. ADL's Susan Heller-Pinto sat down with J7 partners — @ECAJewry's Daniel Aghion, @BoardofDeputies' @PhilR_R and @CIJAinfo's @nshack — to discuss the situations of their country's Jewish communities today. #NLS2026

This week, @AlexRyvchin , Co-CEO of @ECAJewry, joined WJC in New York and Washington, D.C., to meet with senior U.S. officials in the @WhiteHouse and the @StateDept to discuss the urgent need to strengthen protections for Jewish communities worldwide. We are thankful for the Administration’s efforts towards Jewish security, and for one-on-one meetings with Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun (@StateSEAS); Ellen German (@StateSEHI); Reed Rubinstein, Legal Adviser; Matt Murray, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, East Asia and the Pacific Affairs (@MattMurray8); Monica Ager Jacobsen, Bureau of Counterterrorism; Nancy Dahdouh, Director for Counterterrorism, Global Sunni Threats (NSC); Martin Marks (@martinjmarks), Special Assistant to the President & Liaison to the Jewish Community; Shawn Chenoweth, Director of Cognitive Advantage at the National Security Council. The terror attack against Jews on Bondi Beach in Australia last December demonstrated - with devastating clarity - that unchecked antisemitism and government inaction can lead to tragedy. We can’t stand for this as Australians. The IRGC was listed as a terrorist group to criminalise providing support for it. The courts should determine whether honouring someone in public ceremonies is a form of support.

Alex Ryvchin on services for Khamenei: “They are mourning the man who stood at the helm of a state that carried out at least two terrorist attacks on Australian soil. He was the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Arab

and protect the Iranian people from their own leadership.”   At this time, our thoughts are with the people of Israel and Iran.   May the threat to the former and the oppression of the latter finally be vanquished by Operation Lion's Roar.

While regretting the necessity for military action and the risks it poses to the people of Israel and Iran, ECAJ nonetheless welcomes the US and Israeli strikes against the Iranian regime, and the support for the strikes expressed by the Australian Government.

If Khameini is indeed dead, it will be the crowning achievement in the US-Israel alliance. The Iranian people are closer to their liberation, the nuclear threat is subsiding and the regime’s sectarian wars that have destroyed Syria, Lebanon and Yemen and left hundreds of thousands dead, all enabled by western appeasement, may be at an end. As always, it comes at a price, which Israelis are paying right now.
