It’s a beautiful Friday morning in the auto lab at @parklandcollege for @ECCA_EFE automotive class.

The @ECCA_EFE Criminal Justice class has been busy the last two weeks with fingerprinting and a visit from @ILStatePolice, Trooper Tracy!

Construction Trades concluded this morning with a celebration breakfast. This was the inaugural year for the partnership between ECCA and the East Central IL Building & Construction Trades Council. We are excited to see what these students accomplish moving forward!

Signing day took place this morning for ECCA seniors, more pictures will follow. Thanks to everyone who helped organize and especially those students and parents in attendance.

Kiley Knoll is a senior at @HeritageHighIL and will soon be completing the CNA program. She has enjoyed meeting the amazing CNA instructors and making new friends. She has been involved in NHS, Student Council, Yearbook, FFA, FCCLA, Volleyball, and Cheer. Best of luck, Kiley!

Blake Burr is a SR at Centennial and is enrolled in the CNA program. Blake reports that ECCA has helped him prepare for college and will help him reach his goal of becoming an RN. Blake plans to return to @parklandcollege next year! Keep up the good work! @Unit4Schools

Sheila Navarrete is a JR at Rantoul Township HS and a current CNA student. She will complete the CNA program this year and is already signed up to return to ECCA as a SR to complete the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program. What a rock star! Keep up the great work, Sheila!

ECCA SRs/Parents: We are hosting a signing day event on May 3 for seniors who are planning to re-enroll at Parkland College. A Parkland backdrop will be available for families to take pictures. Register at: tinyurl.com/eccasigningday.

Jessica Hawk is a senior at @MSHSBulldogs and is enrolled in the ECCA Education Pathway program for future teachers. She hopes to continue her studies at Parkland or ISU College of Education. She has played softball all 4 years of HS. Keep up the great work, Jessica!

ECCA Criminal Justice students visited the METCAD dispatch office in Urbana. An informative field trip for these high school juniors and seniors! The Criminal Justice program is preparing the next generation of law enforcement and public safety professionals.

The next ECCA student spotlight is CNA student Trinity Bonds from Monticello HS. Her favorite part of ECCA has been meeting new people and getting a head start on her career path. Trinity is a SR and will graduate w/ 11 credits and a CNA license. Great work and best of luck!

AJ Laubscher is a HS SR at @TuscolaCUSD301 and is enrolled in the ECCA Automotive program. AJ is a year 2 student. After this semester, he will have earned 27 credits and an Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair certificate from Parkland College. Keep up the great work, AJ!

Emma Wurl, a SR at Central HS, is enrolled in ECCA Construction Trades. After graduation, she plans to enroll in Construction Mgmt. at @parklandcollege. Her favorite part of the program has been learning and experiencing the different trade options. Keep up the great work, Emma!

Over the next six weeks, we will be celebrating students enrolled in ECCA at @parklandcollege. First up is Kenley Andreae from @GCMSUnit5. Kenley is a senior enrolled in the CNA program and plans to earn her nursing degree and become a nurse anesthetist. Best of luck!

Parkland College Information Notice - All classes, programs, and services have been cancelled at Parkland College for Thursday, February 17, and all offices will be closed as well. This notice includes classes at Area Learning Centers and the Child Development Center. (1/2)
