We've lost perspective. Geno Auriemma yelled at the opposing coach for 3-4 seconds. Dawn Staley yelled back for 3-4 seconds. Geno was a sore loser and triggered Dawn. Happens in sports ALL the time. Geno embarrassed himself and baited Dawn into embarrassing herself. Move on.

I get your point, but I disagree. Geno embarrassed himself and UConn. He did not harm Dawn Staley. He made a spicy comment and moved on in the handshake line. Happens often. Dawn snapped and started talking about fighting. Triggered. No self-control. Violence or threats of violence not the proper response from an adult (or child). She had the option of letting Geno make a fool of himself all by himself. She didn't need to join him.

Carlos Boozer spent March Madness mocking other teams and other fans.
Tonight came the karma.
The basketball gods are undefeated.
Here's the real story of how the Boozer family went from waving goodbye to getting waved out of the tournament in 48 hours:
Carlos Boozer played three years at Duke from 1999 to 2002.
He won the 2001 NCAA Championship as a sophomore.
He left as Duke's all-time leader in field goal percentage.
First-team All-ACC.
ACC Tournament MVP.
Duke Athletics Hall of Fame.
After college, he played 13 years in the NBA.
Two-time All-Star.
Olympic gold medalist.
Averaged 16.2 points and 9.5 rebounds over 861 career games for the Cavaliers, the Jazz, the Bulls, and the Lakers.
Then his twin sons became two of the most recruited basketball players in the country.
Cameron Boozer was the second-ranked recruit in the entire class of 2025.
Five-star.
Gatorade National Player of the Year twice.
Projected number one pick in this year's NBA Draft.
His twin brother Cayden was also a five-star recruit.
One of the top point guards in the class.
Both committed to Duke.
Their dad's school.
The school where he won a title.
This season, Cameron was the National Player of the Year frontrunner.
He became the first Duke freshman to score 35 or more points in multiple games.
The whole year felt like it was building toward the Boozers finishing what their father started 25 years ago.
On Friday, Duke beat St. John's 80-75 in the Sweet 16.
Cameron had 22 and 10.
It was a physical, heated game.
And afterward, Carlos Boozer stood in the stands and waved goodbye to the St. John's fans.
The clip went viral.
The NCAA March Madness account posted it.
Hundreds of thousands of views.
People called it childish.
Others laughed it off.
Two days later, Duke was up 19 on UConn in the Elite Eight.
44-25 late in the first half.
It was a blowout.
The Boozers were going to the Final Four.
UConn had made 1 of their first 18 three-point attempts.
They were done.
Then they came back.
Tarris Reed Jr. scored 26 to keep UConn alive.
In the final seven minutes, the Huskies hit four of their last five threes after bricking almost everything for 33 straight minutes.
Alex Karaban drilled a three to make it 70-69.
Cameron Boozer answered with a bucket.
72-69 Duke with under 30 seconds left.
Demary Jr. got fouled and hit 1 of 2 free throws.
72-70.
Duke grabbed the rebound off the miss.
Ball in their hands.
10 seconds left.
All they had to do was inbound it and run out the clock.
Cayden Boozer handled the ball.
His pass was deflected at midcourt by Silas Demary Jr.
UConn freshman Braylon Mullins grabbed the loose ball, fired it ahead to Karaban, got it right back near the logo, and launched a three from 35 feet.
It went in with 0.4 seconds left.
UConn 73, Duke 72.
A 19-point comeback.
The third largest in Elite Eight or later in tournament history.
UConn to the Final Four for the third time in four years.
Cameron Boozer finished with 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists in what was almost certainly his last college game.
Cayden Boozer had been flawless all game.
15 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, zero turnovers.
Until the one that ended everything.
Afterward, Cayden told reporters: "I should've been stronger with the ball."
Then: "I ruined our team's season."
He said he felt like he let his brother down.
That it might be the last time they ever play together.

MAGA grandma ready to call ICE on Hispanic basketball fans—says they can't legally afford tickets.

"Martindale and Glenn began discussing a partnership in December, with talks heating up to the point Martindale pieced together a staff who began telling sources SNY touched base with it was a 'done deal.'
The plan was to have Martindale run the defense. Saturday, Martindale flew to Florham Park for an in-person interview. This was believed to be a formality – dot the I's, cross the T's, here’s your office and there’s the cafeteria.
Upon Martindale’s arrival, talking to sources close to the situation, the original plan discussed between him and Glenn changed. The Jets head coach said he wanted to call the defensive plays. This was not something previously discussed with Martindale, or other candidates the Jets touched base with. This is where a potential partnership between Martindale and the Jets fell apart, and why Jim Leonhard was never considered a realistic option.
Sources told SNY on Monday that the Jets now preferred a lesser-known coordinator with Glenn calling the plays. They found that in Duker."

Super proud of this team! Not many people thought we’d even be bowling year 1, but the young men in that locker room defied odds all year long to get us there. Definitely not the ending we wanted, but it doesn’t diminish all that this team has accomplished! The bar has been set and now it’s time to raise it. Panther Nation, thank you for your support and I look forward to seeing you all raise your bar as well with giving! I want to thank our administration for their leadership and support and I look forward to seeing that bar raised as well!
