From a 2023 interview with James Stokoe, the solo creator of my favorite comic book. > Orc Stain is a fantasy story about a world almost entirely populated by orcs; horrible little goblin people that are incredibly crude and rude, and it follows one orc who is a tad cleverer than the rest. I’ve heard people describe the tech in the book as dystopian Flintstones, where all the tools and whatnot are unwilling living creatures, which I kind of love. It ran for seven issues before I ran out of money, but I’d like to bring it back someday as it’s gained a bit of an afterlife following.

For those of you with room temperature IQ's asking me if "I want to live in a white ethnostate" let me explain it in detail. Do you see how the white respondents have a very narrow difference in mean ratings? I want to live in a country where hispanics, blacks and asians have the same narrow differences.

This is a really good area for academics to target, BTW, if you feel worried about competing with industry but still want to make a big impact on the field

@EChatav i need numerical evidence, not just a mechanism, before i graduate this one from superstition to theory. like idk there could be some countervailing force that opposes power law dynamics in some circumstances

one of my superstitions is that you can't meaningfully get rid of inequality. competent people are going to rise through the ranks of whatever game you give them to play. you can only suppress economic inequality to the degree you enable political inequality
