Their info is just wrong in most every way. sigh.

Quickmaps shows no closures rn on 50, roads.dot.ca.gov shows 50 is closed from Placerville. Which one is it. This is a big event, probably the best time to be on your info a-game. Closed or not, which one.

Still holding traffic on I-80 and Highway 50 tonight in the Sierra due to snow conditions. If you're stuck in traffic, recommend turning around. It's going to be a long wait. Caltrans' QuickMap shows the picture, and it's not pretty for traveling: quickmap.dot.ca.gov

@TahoeWeather interesting how the storm bounces off the invisible wall of the Nevada / CA state line.

A low near the coast this morning will move through Friday night into Saturday. First with a southwest flow & snow showers on the west side of the basin, & then a band of snow should move thru east to west Sat morning with the east flow. 1-4" of snow is possible on the mountains.
