Not even sure how to sum up the situation on cheaters, how they’ve affected my life on trying to stream the game as entertainment for everyone & how unfair the situation has been on streamers security, or anyone’s security and frankly, how many others have been effected by this who don’t have a stream/name/ability to get help. The hackers brag about being able to do this to anyone, just for fun.
This list is just what has happened within 90 days, and doesn’t include any deep details or steps I’ve tried to take to protect myself, I’ve tried and it just keeps happening.
1. IRL address leaked as their name in game, showing on killfeed.
2. DDoS on the servers this season
3. Giving free wins to other apex players in the race for rank 1.
4. Endless streamsniping, fair games ruined.
5. Cheating with my account, to end the race for Rank 1 Predator by getting me banned.
I’m not really sure what to do from here, in regards to my mission this season, but maybe we just go to ALGS Japan, maybe we continue and try to do more 20-30 hour streams.

@Falloutt @iiTzTimmy Halo 1's third party solution was a third party anticheat, and matches were counted until all data from that session was verified. Granted it's been along time since then and tech has vastly improved but merging these concepts wouldn't be awful in theory.

@Falloutt @iiTzTimmy There's also been platforms from the Halo 1 days that are still around but are more of a community adopted approach, so not sure verifiable steps were actually taken aside from slapping a badge saying "I don't cheat" on your profile. 😅

This @iiTzTimmy tweet really got me thinking, and since it I’ve been obsessing over a possible solution
Big picture idea: What if we could solve cheating and possibly other big problems in Gaming with a trusted, central, verified ID mechanism?
Rather than the 10+ gaming identities we have today where our data is residing all over the world with varying levels of privacy (Xbox, BattleNet, Riot, EA Play, Steam, Epic Store, PlayStation, etc), we would have one Central ID for all game devs and publishers who would join a FAIR, TRUSTED, SECURE, AND PRIVACY-DRIVEN consortium for Player Identity and Security?
Why this would be impactful:
1) Can help mitigate/solve cheating. There would be a trusted Verified ID mechanism to prove that a unique user sits behind the central ID, and if that account was then caught cheating - their ID is attached and they can’t just make a new account or use an emulator or buy new hardware if the device was fingerprinted/bricked, etc.
2) Creates a much better, more private, and secure user experience. No more 10 accounts with 10 passwords that can all get hacked. No more giving Indie/AAA Developer XYZ your personal information. It would have to be a trusted company with privacy and security at the forefront who would create this consortium/centralized identity. Open Identity Standards would be crucial
3) It can help with Trust & Safety: Age verification, and (warning) the dark side of the internet/online gaming: Harassment, Child Abuse and exploitation, etc
4) It could help solve account linking - cross progression across multiple platforms, even MULTIPLE GAMES. Imagine your PlayStation data carries over seamlessly to Xbox or Nintendo? Imagine your Titanfall history, achievements, stats, and data could carry into Apex Legends?
5) It could help with esports - verified identification for players saying they are who they are, underage sign up’s, automatically linking Battlefy or @StartGG profile info to a game, etc

I’m NOT saying that big brother EvilCorp should do this to own everyone’s data and take advantage of it. Or even that people should have to use a personal Government ID to verify their ID. It could be any form of identity verification, from very personal verification like GovID to lesser personal verification.
It just depends on which company or entity was at the forefront, how trustworthy they were, what their privacy standards and if it adheres to local governmental privacy laws. And what we as gamers would be comfortable with in sharing of personal data (remember- today you give a LOT of highly personal data to a LOT of global entities, whether you realize it or not)

@NICKMERCS I personally think we should have a gaming profile that you have to link to every game. One per user and you can't make another. If you cheat, then its on your gaming record and gg.

Not even the owners of Mineplex have said anything? They left it to their team? Yikes.
I feel really bad for the ones that worked for the company and didn't have any say in it's shut down but have to take the brunt of the community's response.
