The discussions focused on the on-going initiatives including BEAT software and SMARTEE-B projects and the future roadmap for collaboration and progress achieved so far, upcoming priorities and opportunities for strengthening coordination.

On May 12, 2026, a meeting was held between Shri Arvind Kumar, Executive Director BMTPC and Dr. Malle’ Fofana, Dy. E.D. and Head of Directorate for Green Growth Implementation (DGGI) at Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), South Korea along with officials from both sides.

BMTPC elaborated on how can the industry build the capability needed to adopt new construction technologies at scale - across developers, contractors, site supervisors, engineers, and skilled labour.

BMTPC was invited as a Resource Organization in the 19th Edition of FICCI Real Estate Summit on 7th May 2026 at New Delhi & participated in the Panel Discussion 4: Innovating the Future of Building Materials & Construction.

A technical review meeting held on April 28, 2026 with RMI India Foundation focusing on the bilateral activities held so far and future road map. Discussion held in the area of embodied carbon benchmarking & demand aggregation of low carbon materials in affordable housing.

A Technical Session to evaluate BEAT (Building Emission Assessment Tool) was organised in BMTPC office on April 24, 2026 by the GGGI in association with HEAT International, Germany and CII, India. The session was organised by Chairman, TAC, ALCBT & ED for BMTPC technical team.

The ALCBT Project is a 5-year initiative implemented by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), in partnership with the ASEAN Centre for Energy, Energy Efficiency Services Limited in India, and HEAT International GmbH and supported by the Government of Germany.

Mr. Arvind Kumar, Executive Director, BMTPC, chaired the 6th Technical Advisory Committee Meeting of the Asia Low Carbon Buildings Transition (ALCBT) Project in New Delhi on April 10, 2026, convened by GGGI India.

Today, a hybrid meeting was held with BMUKN & MoHUA to discuss the IKI project SMARTEE-B by GGGI. Shri Arvind Kumar, ED, BMTPC highlighted inclusion of EWS beneficiaries under PMAY-U & DHPs to showcase GHG reduction and enable scalable, policy-driven adoption across States/UTs.
