@EEHackSpace The reason for this is UKLTA uses #LaserTag in our #LARP system and I'm minded to make some themed LaserTag kit for our Warhammer 40k event od3e.larp.org.uk next year. If I do, they will be at least partly 3D printed and making the lens unit printable is one of the goals.

Did some testing of a Lasertag PCB and 3D printed lens unit design at @EEHackSpace today. It deliberately doesn't look like a weapon, bar the sight, for obvious reasons. 140m range is enough but as the light was going it's not a fair test and I'll have to test on a sunny day.

At @EEHackSpace for Social Night and I've finally fixed our 'Do Not Hack' label print server which also prints generic labels if you want one. Now to find something else to do. I may solder up one of the PCBs that just arrived.

Any advice on fibre lasers? How thick can a 200w/100w/60w cut metal wise etc. Cloudray? Any disadvantages with MOPA or is it cool colours all the way down?

It took someone mentioning how delightfully weird @emfcamp has become for me to see it. If took the giant potato home you were gifted a real potato. The fictional village of Bodgeham-on-Wye had a mass campaign to find their cryptid. Someone DJ'd using a pig. My people. #emfcamp
