Wow… one of the greatest highlights of my life! … receiving the Order of Ikhamanga in Gold from President Cyril Ramaphosa 🇿🇦
South Africa’s National Orders are the highest awards that the country, through the President, bestows on its citizens and eminent foreign nationals. The Order of Ikhamanga recognises South African citizens who have excelled in the fields of arts, culture, literature, music, journalism and sport.
I am deeply grateful to be recognised for my work as a flautist, composer and arranger and especially for using music to inspire young people and unite communities across cultural and geographical borders.
I have always believed in the power of music as a universal language - one that can heal, uplift and bring people together. To be acknowledged not only for artistic achievement but also for empowering others through music, makes this honour profoundly meaningful to me.
My heartfelt thanks to everyone who has shared this journey with me over the years. Your support, encouragement and belief in the transformative power of music have made this possible.
South Africa will always be at the heart of my music and my purpose.
My sincere gratitude for this extraordinary honour. 🇿🇦 ❤️

@lavidaNOTA @ClaysonMonyela I think the lawyers of the president must act on this one. This is not acceptable anywhere in the world. May you learn from @EmmanuelMacron and Candice case. This guy need to learn to respect elders. Maybe his parents didn't teach him to do. This is disgusting

The culprits for that misuse of the South African Government Account tweeting a message for Kaizer Chiefs are found below.
The Minister of Communications and the Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee for Communications.
There will be accountability.

JUST IN: Berita a Zimbabwean foreigner and Nota’s ex lover has graduated.
Berita who’s currently in South Africa on a student visa has been in the past attempted to apply for South African citizenship.
Berita has now graduated this means that her time is South Africa is over she must go back to Zimbabwe according to a Student visa, she is not allowed to remain in South Africa or peruse a carrier in the as it would contravene the immigration act.

@Knick_RSA It is now clear that this Malema has already thrown down the towels of ever seeing himself in the presidency office.
English

Julius Malema says Steenheisen is going to be a President.
He wants to pull the same Trick he did to make Cyril Come into Power.
Advocate for a Regime Change, and then when it comes to voting for a President they Abstain- meaning they are hiding from the Public yet they have opened the Door for a Regime change.
To hide from accountability they will say they didn’t vote for Steenheisen, yet they voted to remove a President.
This is how Cyril came into power.

@MzwaneleManyi You forgot to say you didn't show up to vote for or against VAT which made the ANC win easily!

UPDATE: The MK Party has distanced itself from the contentious visit by Floyd Shivambu to the Easter service of Shepherd Bhushiri in Malawi.
It says the visit by its Secretary-General was not sanctioned by any structure, and Shivambu was there on his personal capacity.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Justice, Mmaloko Kubayi, has condemned Shivambu for the visit, saying Bhushiri is wanted for serious cases like rape and fraud in the country.
She added that the visit is a blatant act of disrespect of the South African legal system, it undermines the credibility of the judiciary, and diminishes the gravity of the charges faced by Bhushiri - The News Box

@MkhontoweSizwex Distasteful. There is no reason to show Nandi Nyembe in her deathbed

@lunietoolz You start your rant by attacking her personally but close off by saying it is not about her personally. Get off the fence, you could get hurt.

Honestly, Michelle Craig over at Newzroom Afrika needs to be called out and held to account by the MK Party. It’s becoming far too obvious now that every time she covers anything to do with the GNU or GPU, there's a clear bias that you can’t just brush off. It's not just once or twice but rather it’s consistent. She keeps bringing in guests or so-called “analysts” who make serious, damaging, and often malicious statements against the MKP. And the problem is, she never offers the MKP a fair right of reply, as any real, ethical journalist should.
You can bet if someone came on her segment and said half as much about the Demokratiese Alliansie and just made untested, reckless and malicious claims surely she would immediately jump in and say, “The DA will be given a right of reply.” That's basic journalistic ethics. But when it's the MKP being attacked or maligned, she just lets it slide. That's not just poor journalism but it's actively taking sides under the cover of being “neutral.”
We can't allow traditional media, especially platforms like Newzroom Afrika that claim to be credible, to turn into a mouthpiece pushing certain political narratives while silencing others. South Africans have a paramount right to a fair, balanced, and truthful information. That’s not just a mere moral argument; it’s definitely a legal one too. Section 16 of the Constitution talks about the right to freedom of expression, sure case; but it also underlines the right to receive information. Plus, the Broadcasting Act (No. 4 of 1999) and ICASA’s Code of Conduct for Broadcasters require broadcasters to present news that is “fair, unbiased, and without intentional distortion.” This is not optional — it’s law.
Michelle Craig’s conduct is exactly what the media is not supposed to do, in my zero opinion. You don't get to play gatekeeper for who deserves fairness based on whether you like a political party or not. Journalistic integrity must be the same whether it's the DA, the MKP, or anyone else. If Newzroom Afrika wants to be taken seriously, they need to pull their socks up and enforce the basic standards that their license depends on.
This ain't really about her personally or impugning her character or her work ethics, but it is about basically saying it’s not fine for our media to become or seem like they're just used as propaganda tools for certain political perspectives over others and because once that happens, ordinary citizens lose. The stakes are too high to stay silent, we really don't need the American media culture here in South Africa, that somewhat has cable news pushing ideological coverage; Fox News for conservatives and MSNBC for liberals. That kind of media culture is polarising and divisive!!!

@Sinawo_Thambo Poor Sinawo is frustrated that ANC refused to be blackmailed by EFF & DA, remember if Mashaba’s joins GNU both EFF & DA loses kingmaker status as GNU will have 200 MP’s. No cabinet post for poor Sinawo!
English

I am watching Herman Mashaba on Face of The Nation now and we may have been wrong to think that he is deliberately deceiving South Africans.
He sincerely does not seem to know what he has done.
He says that if the Budget comes back with VAT, Action SA will vote against it.
The fiscal framework and revenue proposals inclusive of VAT hikes is being voted for tomorrow!
Today, they supported the fiscal framework and revenue proposals including VAT hikes in Committee.
30-days will pass and VAT will kick in regardless of their recommendations which are RECOMMENDATIONS in a Committee report, not AMENDMENTS to the fiscal framework.
There is no point where he will get to amend the this again. This is astonishing.

The ordinary meeting of the National High Command of uMKhonto weSizwe taking place over 4 full days in Umhlanga, KwaZulu Natal. We are certainly building a formidable force for total emancipation and freedom. The MK will be government of South Africa outrightly. #Gwaza!
