@CityofSeattle @byrdbarrplace Byrd Barr Place has given so much to Seattle’s Black community, and with today’s vote, they will continue to remain in Seattle, in their building, providing invaluable resources for the community into the next generation.

Our community partners came to the @CityofSeattle asking for a consistent process for the transfer of City-owned properties - at no cost - to our treasured community organizations. Today, @byrdbarrplace is the first organization to complete the process with more happening soon.

Hunger is also growing in wealthy countries, where people who have never had to seek help are lining up at food banks in the U.S. and Europe. Even people of relative means spend less on fruits and vegetables and rely more on cheap calories from fast food. nyti.ms/3ikDPkX
