@ChipotleTweets Hwve generally tried to ignore the social media noise that the quality of your product and service has fallen off but my experience last night at your Newport, KY location has convinced me social media might be onto something.

This hasn't resonated yet outside golf, but what this administration is essentially doing is taking over a national park for invented reasons so that the Trump Organization can run it and profit from it. Imagine if Yellowstone suddenly cost $1,000 but mostly served lobbyists.

We are devastated to report that the Trump administration is officially terminating our 50-year lease with the National Park Service to manage and renovate the three courses. The termination is effective immediately. Read more: washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/12…

@AdamLuckettKSR Crazy when you think about the run of LBs the Cats had…

Other positions will come up first when we start talking portal needs for Kentucky but this is one that really needs to be addressed. Not enough player volume and no real experience outside of Godfrey. A position that UK did not check in the 2026 high school cycle.

Mark Stoops reset the culture of Kentucky football. He brought toughness, physicality, and grit at a time when the program desperately needed all three. More than that, the high points of his tenure here fostered belief. Streaks ended. Bowls won. Standards risen. Under his leadership, Kentucky became a program that, at our best, could compete with anyone.
I’ll remember his era as one defined by competitiveness and genuine excitement. I was in the stands for much of it, and saw with my own eyes the energy around our state and inside Kroger Field on gameday when Kentucky football was right. For a long stretch, Coach Stoops made it right. I am personally grateful to Mark for everything he has dedicated to this program over the last 13 years.
Recent seasons have been disappointing. The combination of factors required to win at the highest level of college football has shifted dramatically.
For Kentucky football to take the next step, it’s time for the next chapter.
Let’s go make it happen.

@clay_collins1 @RowlandRIVALS It’s in the contract. If I’m Stoops I tell Mitch to beat it if he wants to negotiate a buyout. Seems like a waste of time if that’s where Mitch and the admin are focusing their time right now…

@KySportsRadio Very much looking forward to a defiant Mitch challenging us as fans assuming he keeps Stoops. That will not end well.

I know not everyone is on page with this, but here’s hoping @UKFootball can notch an upset win over Vanderbilt to become bowl eligible and enjoy a remarkable comeback. Often, we’re quick to blame, but these kids/coaches want to win. After all, they do represent our Commonwealth.

@ChrisFisher247 It has never mattered less that Kentucky is a “basketball school” in today’s CFB and we are completely wasting it.

@KySportsRadio That winning kick sailing over Barnhart’s head was symbolic. We’ll get ‘em in year 14, I just know it.

It pains me to no end what has happened to @UKFootball program last 3 years with no progress seen for immediate future. Seeing Kentucky listed at bottom of SEC power listings by so many experts is not what any of us expected. UK leadership must step up, make changes. @UKYpres
