FCA was out at East Henderson high school today visiting with the baseball huddle and was honored to share a word of encouragement on controlling what you can control!

Congratulations to tonight's @CamWoodBats Player of the Game, @JamesOzzy00 of @EHHSBASEBALL James was 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs, a BB, and a R in East's 9-7 comeback W over Hendersonville this evening. The high academic, power prospect had the go-ahead RBI single in the bottom of the 6th. He also threw 3.1 effective innings in relief to keep the Eagles in the game after they fell behind early 1-6. 2026 RHP @tsumner2026 of @EHHSBASEBALL works a scoreless 7th inning to push the game into Extras vs North Henderson on 4/1. Was 80-82 mph on 4/1; has interesting HB metrics on the FB/CH, lots of spin on the breaking stuff. Not his best night as he ended up taking the L in the 8th; the line was 2 IP, 2R (1 ER), 3 BB (1 IBB), 1 K; however, future is bright for Sumner w/ his make up @dirt0006

2027 James Osborne of @EHHSBASEBALL was fresh off the call up from JV on 4/1 vs North Henderson (in fact, he may have played in the JV game beforehand) In the line up as the DH, he was clutch, ripping this RBI single in the 2nd inning off a tough LHP. There's a decent pocket of talent rising up in the underclassmen group for the Eagles. If they continue to buy in, lift, work, learn, etc, this team can make playoffs in the near future @dirt0006

Another piece of the @EHHSBASEBALL youth movement is 2028 OF Tyler Lowry. On 4/1 vs North, Lowry was 1 for 4 w/ an RBI 2B & a R This swing broke open the scoring for East and gave them an early lead; they eventually fell 4-3 in Extras @dirt0006

2027 C/RHP/Util @HolbrookCo71505 of @EHHSBASEBALL had a very solid game vs North on 4/1 Was 2 for 4 w/ the game tying RBI that forced the game into Extras Looked good behind the plate too. He and his pitcher, @GarrettG_2027 allowed zero SB attempts. He also was quick to get out from the plate to snag a pop-up bunt in the late innings I feel having a reliable C is so important to a team's success; Holbrook is part of a youthful rebuild that is underway in Flat Rock. Also make note that Holbrook threw a CG Shutout on Wed to beat 1st Place Tuscola

First look at 2027 CF Jake Harvey of @EHHSBASEBALL Base knock through the middle vs North Henderson on 4/1. Was 1 for 3 w/ a SAC Bunt. Also lined out hard right into the 3rd baseman's glove in the 8th Quiet youth movement happening for the Eagles @dirt0006

Nice swing by @BJUBaseball Commit, @obrew24 of @EHHSBASEBALL vs North on 4/1; hits the Oppo Double off a tough LHP East lost in extras, but they are starting to turn a corner; Brewster hit the walk off in their 1-0 W over 1st Place Tuscola on Wednesday @dirt0006

2027 @GarrettG_2027 of @EHHSBASEBALL is one of the most polished LHPs in his class. Velo was 74-77, 79 on the FB; the CB has great shape; solid spinner. Mixes well with the CH too. Fills it up, not afraid of you; hold runners well; North (a fast team) didn't steal one base against him Competed on 4/1 vs North: 5 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 7 Ks Once the velo creeps into the low 80's he's going to be a hot recruit; reminds me a lot of @CloningerCaleb of North Gaston, a @CCCYeti_BSBL Recruit, and where he was at the same age @dirt0006
