Just landed this lovely Beauvais Missal leaf including text and music for the 25th Sunday after Pentecost. Handy catchwords on verso would seem to place this folio immediately before the leaf at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC @lisafdavis #OttoEge #Fragmentology

Just added this fascinating medieval medical #ManuscriptFragment to my library’s collection. It’s likely that this treatise was used in the Middle Ages at the hospital that recycled it as an account book wrapper. Text from Tractate 4 of Serapion’s text. #OhioMSS #fragmentology

New #ManuscriptFragment: Bifolium, c. 1300, from Gerard of Cremona’s translation of Serapion’s 9thC medical treatise, Practica Iohannis Serapionis; text = on kidney stones & their extraction. Recycled in 1586 as account book wrapper for Hôtel-Dieu de Beaufort-en-Vallée, Anjou.

Day 1 of onboarding went well! The hardest part of all this will be overcoming my introvert tendencies and talking basically all day every day for the next 2 weeks straight. Because WHEW am I tired, and today I had to do the least amount of talking. 😅

New #OttoEge leaf: Though stained and worn, still a fascinating #ManuscriptFragment from a 13th-century Flemish Psalter (HL 125), w/ text from the Magnificat, Nunc dimittis & Athanasian Creed. Early parchment repair at lower exterior corner is interesting, too. #fragmentology
