This is a major milestone. We are encouraged by the progress made by the elected officials and Turnpike Authority. Goods and services will move more quickly, commutes will be quicker and safer, and the region will be stronger. Keeping pace with the changing economy and growing regional populations is paramount. We urge our leaders to utilize project labor agreements and local union labor for the highest trained workforce and best management of the public funds. That is the fastest and most efficient use of construction dollars.
