I returned from church today and met my neighbor outside, seriously begging his girlfriend not to leave him.
I moved closer and asked what the problem was. She said "I've been with him for 3 years and he has never worked. He's not helping at all."
As a man, I pulled him aside. Turns out he's an engineering graduate. Graduated 3 years ago, completed his NYSC, but hasn't been able to secure a job.
I collected his number, told him I'd get back to him, and convinced his girlfriend to give him a little more time.
I reached out to a friend who manages a water factory. There was a vacant bagger position with daily pay of 5k to 10k depending on speed and strength. 5k daily is guaranteed, 5 days a week. That's between 100k to 150k monthly for a starter.
I texted the young man with the offer.
His response: "Guy, you don't get to reduce me to becoming a pure water bagger. I'm an engineering graduate. I can't accept a 200k job talk less of 100k."
I tried to reason with him. He cut me off and said "Instead of doing a 100k job, I'd rather start yahoo."

Funsho Williams did not abandon his ambition to become governor after Pa Adesanya appealed to him to step down for Tinubu in December 1998.

Many people do not know that Bola Tinubu did not actually win the 1998 AD gubernatorial primaries in Lagos. The primary election was won by Funsho Williams. Following the intervention of Chief Ayo Adebanjo and Chief Abraham Adesanya, who reviewed the results in Tinubu’s favour and resolved disputes arising from Ikorodu and Lagos Mainland, Funsho Williams stepped down for Tinubu.

Nigeria will argue about politics for 12 hours straight on TV, but nobody wants to talk about the quiet massacre happening in our hospitals.
In the past few days I have heard horrifying stories about healthcare facilities in Enugu State.
Hospitals with no light.
No oxygen.
No reagents.
Barely any doctors.
Wrong diagnosis due to bad or outdated equipments.
Imagine bringing a loved one to a hospital hoping to save their life… only to discover the hospital itself is helpless.
How many people have died simply because the system failed them?
How many families buried someone who could have lived if the hospital had basic equipment?
Joy Ezeugwu’s revelations about Uwani General Hospital in Enugu opened a window into something many people already knew but were too tired to speak about.
Yes, they say the light has now been fixed.
Yes, they say the hospital management has been fired.
But let’s be honest.
Fixing one light is not fixing the system.
Across many state health facilities especially in remote villages and poorer neighborhoods, the situation is reportedly worse.
No reagents for tests.
Broken equipment.
Understaffed wards.
Buildings that look abandoned.
These are supposed to be life-saving institutions, yet many of them look like places where hope goes to die.
Healthcare should never depend on whether you are rich enough to go to a private hospital.
The poor deserve to live too.
The truth is simple:
A society that cannot provide basic healthcare for its people is sitting on a moral failure.
This is not about politics.
This is about human lives.
The Commissioner for Health in Enugu State and the entire health leadership need to urgently conduct a full public audit of all state hospitals especially the ones hidden in rural areas.
Let Nigerians see the truth.
Because if the stories we are hearing are even half true, then what is happening in some of these hospitals is nothing short of a national emergency.
We cannot keep losing people to problems that should not exist in 2026.
Healthcare cannot be a privilege.
It must be a guarantee.
And the lives of the poor must matter.

I received a call this morning that a childhood friend of mine is gone. He impregnated a lady. She gave birth and got stuck in the hospital. Bills unpaid. Pressure from the lady. Pressure from her mother. He reached out to me a few weeks ago. I sent him some money. His workmates said he had been thinking too much lately. He mentioned to them he was hypertensive. The last call he took was from the lady. After he dropped that call he fainted where he sat. Before they could get him to a hospital he was gone. This morning the lady was discharged. The family sorted the hospital bill immediately. The same bill they could not sort when he was alive. Men please take care of yourselves. Even if na to run from the situation temporarily, run. Come back later when you can breathe. It is better than dying. Rest well my guy.🕊🕊

It is laughable to celebrate the recent INEC delisting of ADC PARTY . The reason Atiku and Amechi have always maintained that they're contesting the ADC presidential ticket is to create that uncertainty in the mind of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. They know very well how far he can go to retain power and disrupt their plan. The ADC presidential candidate is known already by the party caucus. The day ADC was inaugurated, they had a plan B venue In case the first venue didn't work out and at the end they were right because the FCT Minister sealed the first venue. The truth is that there's a plan B if the ADC fails. I don't believe that people like Mr Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, Mallam Nasir El-rufia, Chibuike Amechi, David Mark, Aregbesola, Malami and recently Kwankwaso will be uniting to unseat Tinubu and they'll not anticipate and make provisions for obstacles like this. Abazz is many things, but you can never say he doesn’t have integrity. The guy called him out on the first day, and he was dragged to hell and back. He apologized. He sent out the jerseys, which were 20k each and it includes the delivery fee. He explained everything to the guy in the DMs, but the guy still decided to bring it back to the timeline. Why can’t you have that conversation in the DM? Same way a guy was sent 5kg of rice for a giveaway, and he said a sealed bag is not complete.
