@michaelmann Do you think that awareness of climate change has grown enough within the past 20 years to invoke change, or do you think that more needs to be done before there is a chance that adequate action will be taken?

@michaelmann Considering that climate change is only worsening, we need to think of new ways to tackle this issue. Given that science alone has not been enough to persuade action, could current implications of climate change and world problems be used to show what's to come?

This is simply getting out of control. We need to put more emphasis on stopping these wildfires and helping those who are losing their homes. The amount of damage that is being done may become irreversible if it continues.

This was a great eye-opener to better understand how different strategies can synergize together so that climate change impacts can be mitigated.

@faul8110 That's a great point. A lot of technology has been labelled as entertainment and "not useful" in a learning environment. However, it's great to be able to reflect and see the practical applications of social media.

#EM203Robin I've enjoyed the content surrounding the first few lessons because the generation of students taking this course are digital natives- we are so used to having access to technology and endless information that we rarely get to reflect on what it means for learning.

@haak7080 I completely agree. The digital revolution has been fundamental in this transformation. While it has served a great purpose of connecting people, it has also shown the importance of in-person connection and how both are needed to convey information appropriately.

@EM203EBroeders Yes, I think this balance between coursework and appropriately applying social media knowledge is crucial to ensure we're successful in today's ever-changing world.

For my thoughts on EM203, I believe its interesting to explore social media and being able to explore at our leisure giving us opportunities to express ourselves by posting what we find interesting while meeting course guidelines and objectives #EM203Robin

@EM203AJacob Agreed. It's cool to actually have a course that deals with online posts as opposed to other ones that don't mention the importance of its application in today's world.

@EM203SSubashi Wow, this is a very interesting point. I hadn't noticed that until just now. Almost everyone I know consumes media, but very few have actually ever created it consistently to more than just their friends.

Despit being labeled "digital natives", many youth primarily consume rather than create online content, YouTube is popular but few regularly post original media. Interesting to learn that adult internet usage closely mirrors that of youth. #EM203Robin

I've been in this course for a few weeks now and have begun to engage with classmates, learning about how they engage with course content, while also learning about multi-media and how individuals consume information. #EM203Robin
