@EM203Jlerman Hey Josh, thanks for sharing your concept map. I think a really cool topic you can expand on would be the importance of sleep for physical health. Maybe you could discuss the impact phones/internet is having on our sleep. #EM203Robin #EM203problems

@EM203KGriffin Hey Kate! I liked what you touched upon in your concept map of the Economy. I think you nailed a lot of points on wealth disparity. It would be cool if you expanded on the concept "Are the rich getting richer" and what it means for us. #EM203problems #EM203Robin

@EM203kcodyh Hey Kaylee! Thanks for sharing your concept map on Education. I think an interesting problem you can touch upon is literacy rates, particularly the disparity of literacy in developed vs developing nations. #EM203problems #EM203Robin

@EM203WLockstein Hello! I agree that learning has drastically changed. I think for the better for the most part! If you haven't already, I'd watch that Khan Academy TED talk where he talks about how his platform has the potential to flip classrooms.

I've learned a lot of interesting information about the digital age from our first 3 classes. Specifically learning about digital natives and how our learning has drastically changed due to this wave of technology, along with the various types of learning theories. #EM203Robin

@claireb9160 I really like how you pointed out the negative impacts on learning. Not only can it be a distraction, but sometimes we may rely on it too much which can hinder our learning quality.

Having the internet readily available for us to use has had both positive and negative impacts on learning. We have more information at our disposable and have learned new ways to deliver information. But, we can see that it also comes as a distraction to our learning #EM203Robin

@EM203SimonaR Hi Simona! I definitely agree with you in terms of the engagement of the modules. Module 3 was the most fun for me. My personal favourite is module 4 though. I loved the Khan Academy Ted Talk. Best of luck.

@em203kierracruz Totally! Could you imagine explaining a course of this structure to a student 25 years ago... If the world is changing, learning must change with it! Best of luck

The first three classes of the course have been very interesting. The learning is very immersive for an OC class. A couple interesting things I learned are Tony Bate’s theory on learning by doing and the importance and use of technology and media in society today. #EM203Robin
