@IanMitchellGill This is a very interesting solution that you bring up. I have done research in how this issue is brought forward to inform individuals, but the idea you mentioned of sharing resources is a great action that could be implemented with proper planning.
@EM203MTrif The UN could have a program where teachers, resources, and textbooks we do not need could be sent to places that crave education. Moreover, step in to solve any issue that keeps young women from achieving. Every nation benefits from the success of their female population
There has been an ongoing issue revolving around education and the gender inequality that exists around it. With working in education yourself, do you think that proper actions are being taken to reduce this inequality on a global level? @IanMitchellGill
@IanMitchellGill Thank you so much for your response! This was very insightful and I agree with you that there is a lack of encouragement for young women to pursue their educational careers.
@EM203MTrif I do not see enough interventions throughout the world with gender inequality. Young women are not given the encouragement, resources, and even the opportunity to get the education and skills needed. Developed nations do very little to help poorer nations succeed in this regard
Evidence shows girls #education across South & SE Asia has been negatively impacted by the pandemic, especially for older adolescents. “Learning poverty” that existed prior to #COVID19 has only been exacerbated, widening #genderinequality & wealth gaps.
It's important to remember #GenderInequality, in whatever form, impedes global progress. If left unaddressed, it may present an even bigger threat to development than global disasters - INCLUDING #ClimateChange. There is still a lot of work to be done. #FromTheFrontLines
@EM203YPalch I love how this shares ways that individuals rationalize the food they are throwing away! It is upsetting that they don't think more about the issues at hand and are just disposing it in the landfill. Very insightful article!
Here is an interesting article discussing why Ontario's plan to ban food waste from landfills might not work. What are your thoughts? #zerowaste#EM203cbc.ca/news/science/l…

@EM203MTrif Awesome to hear that you've learned so much in only 3 weeks Magdalena! It's truly fascinating how digitalization has transformed learning and communication. Hope you're able to continue learning throughout the semester!
After looking at @SimonneFlynn16 's concept map for environmental issues, another issue that can be considered is overpopulation as this has a direct relation to other problems that have been identified (ie. pollution, deforestation). #em203problems
With analyzing @EM203LPolster 's concept map, another big issue that can fall under education can be discrimination since that still occurs for those that are different races, immigrants, etc. #em203problems
