@JonathanCOnP Hi Dr.Douglas, what would you say is the most imperative factor in combating the development of this "PSD"? I've seen suggestions like limit exposure to media and stay connected, but I'm interested in additional methods you may have in mind!

@DuncanAstle @BignardiG @esdalmaijer @CamNeuro @Cambridge_Uni @The_MRC Hi Duncan, as the paper mentions, schools should focus on socialization to help resolve the impacts of Covid-19, but would you have any suggestions on ways to impede this negative development in the first place?

Relative to before lockdown, we found a substantial increase in depression ratings in children (aged ~10, N=170). W/ @BignardiG, @esdalmaijer and team.
Take a look at our new preprint, we'd really welcome any feedback.

In the first three weeks of EM203 I have learned a lot about learning in the digital age. Last week I focused on the connectivism learning theory. Connectivism is a product of the digital age and has revolutionized knowledge and learning. #EM203Robin

@em203nvarma Great to hear that you also challenged yourself with the multi-tasking exercise! I decided to learn the basic steps to the tango which I found fun and refreshing!

Through the first 3 weeks of #EM203Robin, my favourite activity has been challenging myself with Sudoku. It was frustrating, unorthodox, and something that I’ve never fully completed before, but it felt accomplishing when I was done. Looking forward learning by doing some more!

@BlainBritt It's interesting you point out how social connections are vital for twitter to be of any value. When the digital age first began emerging, I'm sure countless people thought that it would take away from social interactions, but in reality it boosted it!

Digital technology like Twitter heavily relies on social connections for it to be of any value. It is only through time and immersion for this understanding to be achieved. This course is teaching me how social media like Twitter can be used for many different reasons #EM203Robin

In the past few weeks of EM203, I have looked at various learning theories like the connectivism theory. I have also developed my multitasking skills and learned about the many media outlets through which information can be obtained. #EM203Robin

@EM203JJ Hey Jess! I too had to make adjustments to my study habits with the weekly challenges, and the multi-tasking exercise really emphasized the idea of changing the pace and improving yourself by learning new skills! #EM203Robin

@EM203michael_ Wow! I'm not sure about you, but I've never heard about connectivism before EM203, I love how diverse the course is in it's material and the challenges keep me on my toes! I even learned how to salsa which I wasn't expecting to do.

In the first few weeks of EM203 our lessons focused on learning skills & theories, such as behaviourism, and how all have been influenced by this new age of technology, the "Digital age". The multiple tasks have kept me busy and taught me to multitask and manage time! #EM203Robin
