Hi @redcrosscanada I am working on an assignment for #em203robin at WLU about mental health resources in Canada during COVID-19. Could you speak a bit about what you have done regarding this issue?
New York City will launch a pilot program in which mental health experts rather than police officers take the lead in responding to 911 calls involving mental-health emergencies, Mayor Bill de Blasio said Tuesday on.wsj.com/2Uebz9n
Found an excellent website that gives many online mental health resources during the pandemic. Virtual counselling sessions, peer support, and mental health check-in links are included! #EM203Researchwww2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/he…
Hey @em203LDlima, excellent concept map on online learning! One problem you could focus on is how teachers can create successful study spaces/groups to help their student's online education. #em203problems
@JackFabregas5 Hey Jack, it's amazing how many benefits the internet has towards our learning. We have access to research, the ability to get answers to questions, and can learn about anything by just putting the question in google!
Over the first three weeks of this course, we have learned a ton about the many different ways we can benefit from digital learning. This is super meaningful today and this school year as we combat a global pandemic. #EM203Robin
@IanMcKnight14 Hey Ian, the internet has definitely changed how we learn. For example, how we are learning school online and not in person. Or how we can search for any article, website, or youtube video to learn about any subject we want!
@EM203NathanM Hey Nathan, I agree! The internet is already adapting the way we learn with all of our courses being online instead of in-person. It is crazy how fast we went from in-person lectures, to now zoom. We all had to adapt to online learning so fast!
Within these past lessons of EM203 I have realized the bigger picture with regards to the impact that technology has on our lives. Most notably through the way we learn, the internet has the power to adapt and even completely change the ways in which we do it. #EM203Robin
@em203slam Hey Serena! That's an excellent point about learning differently online depending on what content is being learned. This course is perfect for online learning, but I can see that a course like math would be more difficult to learn.
@EM203CToma Hey Cristian, I agree, it is interesting how many different learning theories there are for understanding how different people learn. I never knew any of the learning theories until I took this course!
In the past 3 lessons of this course, I have learned how much technology has impacted the way we learn, the different styles of learning teachers use to best influence their students, and how our generation is able to learn and memorize information successfully. #em203robin
