Hello @VoxProf1 Working on assessment right now for #EM203Robin and was wondering what you believe to be the most prevalent inequalities in post-secondary education at the moment? Thank you!
Hello @aebeek What strategies do you think are most effective for addressing systemic inequalities in post-secondary education and improving outcomes for underrepresented students?
Hi @justinsmithecon ! What strategies do you think are most effective for addressing systemic inequalities in post-secondary education and improving outcomes for underrepresented students? #HigherEd#EquityInEducation
Throughout #EM203Robin I have been researching the inequalities that persist in post secondary education. One of these inequalities is that individuals with significant financial resources tend to achieve success at higher rates, often due to increased access to opportunities.
For my "Spread the News 21st Century Style" project in #EM203Robin, I have been researching the inequalities that persist in post-secondary education. Here is a link that addresses, that issue in Canada. www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/pub/42-28-0…

This site explores the general issues that face those with accessibility issues in Ontario and how the Ontarians with Disabilities Act works with colleges and universities to address these barriers #EM203Research
@EM203eldonovan A problem for the subcategory for "socioeconomic barriers" can be low-income students unable to access affordable mental health services, leading to increased economic stress and dropout rates. #EM203problems
@EM203eldonovan I also enjoyed week 2! As all weeks. What an interesting lesson to be educated on. Definitely one that us future teachers need to be aware of. Digital age teaching compared to the era of non digital age teaching is similar, yet quite contrasting at the same time.

Hi Kiara! I just wanted to give you a heads up that your mind map link is unavailable and when opening it says, "Page not found". Hope you are enjoying #EM203Robin so far! #EM203problems
@mmaarriinn203 Great work! To improve, consider expanding each bubble with more detailed branches. This would give your map more depth and make connections clearer between broader topics and their specific characteristics, rather than having it under one bubble #EM203problems
@EM203AGill_ Just a quick suggestion regarding the categories "Chronic Diseases" and "Mental Health." While the two categories are listed separately, there's significant overlap in real-world contexts as chronic illnesses often lead to mental health issues. #EM203problems
@em203sashaduric I am glad to hear you are enjoying the course so far! That was an interesting lesson, especially as someone who multitasks! I was able to reflect on my own actions and how it impacts my education! Very interesting!
EM203 is off to a strong start! We’re exploring how multi-media like audio, video, and graphics enhance learning, while also tackling the challenges of multitasking and cognitive overload. So much to unpack in digital literacy and multi-modal learning! #EM203Robin
@EM203RLerma Very true! That was a very captivating lesson! It is nice to see the positive spin on technological advancements as I feel as though I have learned a lot about the negatives! This way we can have a better understanding about technology!
Something interesting I learned in these lessons was that Gen Z is able to filter out what we think is irrelevant and can delve deeper into topics we think are important to us due to technologic advancements. Can't wait to learn more! #EM203Robin
