With respect to “large companies siphoning money away from family doctors,” who cares? People are getting care faster and not paying out of pocket for it. Win.

Personally, I like the minor ailments service at pharmacies. The current situation in Ontario is that if you’re lucky enough to have a family doctor, getting an appointment for minor problems can often be a month or more away.

Phew - I checked your profile and saw you have no economics background - I was worried. Low GDP per capita (we’re the lowest) means: •💰 Wealth isn’t improving for most people •📉 High poverty •⚖️ Low social stability •📈 More inequality (rich get richer, poor get poorer)
