A solution to the problem identified in the article I posted is getting busy. I think planning to visit friends and family as well as going outside and enjoying nature can help reverse the negative effects of technology.

@EM203JChabot Agreed Joel! The method of the course is a great way to not only understand course content, but also apply it when communicating and learning from classmates and a social media platform. Definitely a thought-provoking course and super engaging!

The first few lessons of this course so far have been thought-provoking in a way that has allowed me to get a better sense of how an individual is educated. For example, looking at how constructivism believes one's knowledge is based on their social interactions. #EM203Robin

@tyler_wildfong_ @em203afrigillan Hi Tyler! I've been thinking about the point you made on our transition from in-person to online. The ability for teachers to continue lessons and students to attend lectures hopefully will be a smooth transition and definitely proves how the digital age has impacted learning.

@em203afrigillan Hey Arianne! I agree that the first 3 weeks have been interesting and I think that going back to in-person from online school will be a great example of how the digital age has affected our lives. Our ability to flip a switch and transition from in-person to online is incredible.

@EM203Jsingh Hi Jugaad! I too have enjoyed the first 3 weeks of the course and I got a chance to learn how to tango using a youtube clip! It was a nice change in my school routine and a very engaging way to learn about learning in the digital age.

I have enjoyed the first 3 weeks of this course. It has provided me with many opportunities to interact with my classmates. This past week I enjoyed learning how to play Sudoku by watching a youtube video. I am really looking forward to the rest of the semester! #EM203Robin

@EM203LaurenB Definitely agree, this class is very intriguing! We have covered interesting topics from why the internet is revolutionary to the 3M’s, as you mentioned. Engaging in course content on a social media platform is a first for me and has been really enjoyable and informative.

@emiliepower1 Hi Emilie! That is such an important point! It can definitely be negative for users especially for things outside of learning. In terms of learning, something new being discussed is the requirement of both students and teachers to adapt to new methods in this digital age.

@EM203mfedele I thought it was interesting how even though we are learning about how crucial it is we are also seeing how it can be negative for many users. What did you learn last week?

Over the last 2.5 years, technology in schools has become extremely crucial. The first 3 lessons of EM203 were insightful and informative about the usefulness and application of technology and social media in different learning and teaching styles. #EM203Robin

@EM203adepiero Hey Adam, I agree with this point very strongly. I have only been focused on students learning in this digital age, I never thought about teachers and the adjustments they have to make. This new way of learning definitely needs to be adapted to in order to keep students engaged!
