@PovertyLawProf in my #EM203 Wilfrid Laurier University course we are asked to find an expert’s opinion on a specific issue. I have been focusing on poverty. How can we reduce poverty or the ‘poverty industry’?

In order for us to make a change and work together to stop sexism, we need to realize that even if we aren't going through it, if you see someone who is you need to say something and help them. By not saying anything, you're becoming part of this problem that needs to be stopped.

@EM203oranney Have you considered looking at the main causes of poverty? This is a great way to brainstorm potential solutions! For example, did you know inequality significantly contributes to poverty as one cannot be solved without considering the other. #EM203problems

@EM203sfrantzke I am very interested in the topic of your mind map! A cause of the gender wage gap could be from gender inequality. By promoting equality, we may be able to eliminate the social norms and privilege that is held by others in the workforce today. #EM203Problems

@anero_em203 I enjoyed your mind map and how in-depth it was. You talk about the individual discrimination and exclusion involved in racism. I agree and believe that an additional factor would be systemic racism which leads to many of the effects you listed. #EM203Problems

In the past few weeks of EM203, I have looked at various learning theories like the connectivism theory. I have also developed my multitasking skills and learned about the many media outlets through which information can be obtained. #EM203Robin

@EM203priyankak I taught myself a sudoku puzzle as well! It was quite tough in the beginning and took me a couple trial and errors- but overall was very fun to complete!

The first three lessons in this course have taught me a lot about the way people learn, specifically how perceptions and ideas are shaped through one's experiences, also known as constructivism. I also taught myself how to solve a sudoku puzzle! #EM203Robin
