SISTER HEALTH UPDATE: They operated on my sister yesterday and discovered that the infection had not gone all the way down to the metal plates in her chest. That was good news! There's all manner of infections they encountered: MRSA and two or three others I can't pronounce. They think they're going to send her home in about two days - we're not sure yet. Please keep up your prayer as they're helping! ❤️🙏 The little girl in the middle is my sister Heather.

PLEASE PRAY FOR MY FRIEND GEORGENE For the last 9 years, I have had the privilege of taking care of my 92-year-old friend, Georgene. Two months ago, she was rushed to the Emergency Room for five days in intensive care with two large blood clots in her lungs. Then her doctor told me they had done all they could do, and we brought her home to be with her dog, "Sweetie Pye," and have wonderful hospice care from Caris Health. I previously asked you to pray for God to be with her during that critical time. [see March 4, 2026] During the last few days, she has been getting weaker. The nurses say her body is shutting down. Yet even with her failing health, she continues to pray with those who have come to see her. In her years on this earth, she accomplished much. She was an awesome wife to her husband, Keith, and a loving mom to her children; her son, Ted, and Reinita, her blind daughter. Georgene was a blessing at her church, where she played the piano, the organ, sang in small groups, and assisted in teaching boys and girls in Sabbath School. At home, she taught art, sewing, and painting classes, and every one of her students felt they favorite. Every Sabbath, she and Keith would open up their home and invite families and relatives to share a meal. I have never heard her utter a negative word about anything or anyone. No matter how challenging her life was, she has always remained calm and trusted God to work, "all things out for His good. "[Romans 8:28] Through these nine years, we had the privilege to attend many Adventist Church Services, to go and be a part of Southern Gospel Quartet services with various congregations, or enjoy Orchestra Programs and homecoming events at Southern Adventist College. Georgene loved it when we would go out to eat with her daughter, Reinita, her blind friend, Tandra, my brother, Ron, or have Sabbath meals with her brother Glen, his wife Jeanne, and their friends. I have so many beautiful memories of our worship times at home, when we both played the piano, and sung to each other hymns of the Church, or read our Bibles, sharing our favorite Bible passages. No one who ever met this beloved Saint of God was ever the same. She always showed love and kindness to everyone and shared her Savior, telling all about His wonderful love. Like Ray Bolz, I can say to her, "Thank you, Georgene, for giving to the Lord. I am a life that was changed." Precious Twitter family, please continue to lift Georgene in your prayers for added strength in the days ahead until God calls her home. I love you. I made more everyday sandwich loaf bread. Just came out of the oven. I really like this recipe. I doubled for 2 loafs. It will be a weekly bake. No more store bought bread.

I really need to reach out to friends more, but there's something holding me back. I'm getting ever closer to the end of my life, and so no matter what, I get emotional and express my fears and sadness. I really don't want to inflict this on those who love me, so it prevents me from calling or reaching out. It feels like all I ever do is crumble and fall apart.
