Future EMSA EMTs & Paramedics got behind the wheel of an EMSA ambulance for the 1st time in a safe environment. Our newest team members learned how to maneuver an ambulance through tight corners, how to brake suddenly & safely, & how to reverse without a rearview mirror.

It’s been a busy month of connecting with students across OK, and we’re just getting started. Recently, our recruiters visited Union High School in Tulsa. Meeting students, answering questions, and sparking curiosity about EMS careers is one of the best parts of what we do.

When emergencies happen, strong working relationships between first response agencies are key. Training exercises allow teams to practice working together & strengthen communication, Recently, EMSA joined the @OKCPD & @OKCFD for a large-scale exercise in downtown OKC. #emsaok

It’s hard to put into words what it feels like to save a life. EMSA welcomed Jon Benton to our OKC headquarters, where he reunited with Paramedic Chad Stimmell and EMT Miguel Martinez — the team who helped save his daughter’s life during a sudden cardiac emergency. #emsaok

EMSA had a great time connecting with eighth grade students at Will Rogers High School’s Career Pathways Day in Tulsa! Our recruiter, Chris Stevens, & EMSA Paramedic Savannah Gonzales showcased the wide variety of careers that help keep EMSA running. #emsaok

An essential skill for any EMT or Paramedic is their ability to interact with patients — and that’s exactly where our in house EMT program, EMSA Advantage, begins. Our newest trainees jumped into their 1st hands on lesson, learning how to confidently assess patients on scene.

When a Tulsa mom-to-be called 911 in active labor, EMSA EMT and Dispatcher Kaitlyn Klein immediately began guiding her through lifesaving birthing instructions. This was Kaitlyn’s first delivery over the phone. #emsaok

Saving lives is what EMSA does best—and our Tulsa team took it one step further. By partnering with @OurBloodInst, team members helped make a difference for patients across our community. In all, 27 lives could be saved because helping others is always part of the job. #emsaok

It's a baby boy👶! EMSA Paramedic Cassie Dennis and EMTs Caroline Sheets and Anthony Durocher responded to a call for an unknown issue—only to discover a mom in labor! This moment was extra special for Anthony, who graduated from EMSA Advantage less than 2 months ago. #emsaok
