@creatrix_ttv Formula is life saving. I’m still breastfeeding (combo feeding) the new baby and no matter how you feed your baby, it’s stressful. They rely on us. You’re doing amazing putting his needs first. All the best!

@EMSerletic86 That's what he's on. Yeahhh it has definitely been the most stressful part of my new mom journey 😅

My son has a severe lactose intolerance + a milk protein allergy + other food sensitivities. (I was the same way as a bebe so he unfortunately inherited it from me) The only formula he can use HAS to have corn syrup solids... so this just royally pisses me off.

@relativititties @creatrix_ttv The process of trial and error can take months. For babies with severe allergies, formula is the best option because they don’t have the luxury of time, waiting for mom’s milk to be safe. Breastfeeding is incredibly complex and if you’ve never done it, you have no clue.

Cheers, ya’ll. He makes apple cider whiskey sour tonight. I don’t drink much because I’m still nursing, but this was a pleasant treat I wasn’t expecting.

@relativititties @creatrix_ttv Everything a mother eats can impact baby’s milk. One small bite of something can result in days of pain for baby.

@creatrix_ttv My daughter was on nutramigen ready to feed only for twelve months, then toddler formula. It was a nightmare. I’m sorry you’re going through this but it does get better. She has no food issues now. Ate steak and soup for dinnner tonight. 😝

He also can't do powdered formulas so my options have been ridiculously limited.

At work my very liberal coworker confessed something to me. She has a 4 month old baby, she didn’t believe in gender roles until she became a mother. #motherhood is miraculous and life altering. And in the best way.
