Hello I am just a girl please can someone help me with my energy xxxx I’m mid this renovation (ie hell) and I’m using 0 gas and electricity is like £5 a month so I just pay about £30 standing charge each month. Do I need to fix my energy? Or do I just keep paying on receipt of my bill for now and just deal with higher prices when I’m moved in. Thank you Twitter I hate being an adult xxxx

I for one am extremely disappointed in @UKLabour for the double whammy against pensioners. Cancelling winter fuel allowances & allowing the 9% rise in bills on top! Of course the 9% rise will affect everyone. They have the power to make changes but aren’t. Blaming everyone else

@Ed_Miliband As an Energy Saving Expert, heat pumps are not the answer. The starting point is installing solar on every available home in the UK to stop the consumer buying this ridiculously expensive power in the first place. Then look at heat pumps as a secondary plan

3/ In the short term, we will do everything in our power to protect billpayers, including: • reforming the regulator so it is a consumer champion • working to make standing charges fairer • introducing a Warm Homes Plan
